Person who makes things.

Hi all! Here is the list of current extensions support on NotABot:

Desktop:

✅ Brave

✅ Chrome

✅ Firefox

Mobile:

✅ Kiwi on Android with Nos2x

✅ Safari on iOS with Nostore

Be sure to practice safe nsecs on this and every other site!

If you come across a setup that you expect to work but doesn’t please let me know so I can figure it out.

Now for some much needed family time 🏡

Keep Nostr fun, fam! 🤙

I’ll say that another cool thing about NotABot is that it is inclusive. 💜 As long as there are people willing to verify him, William will always be welcome. William, I am always happy to answer questions asked in good faith. If you have a legitimate concern, let me know and we can address it together respectfully for the good of the community.

When you say an obvious falsehood though, as you did about the SSL, it signals to me that you have another agenda. So let us both proceed according to our character. 🤝

The SSL certificate is easily verifiable, guys. You’d think a guy with an “extensive background” in security would know that.

Apparently NotABot also filters out fake experts. The value prop is building every day. 😎 People like William will self filter, and it will be glorious. ☀️

People that speak conjecture as truth 🚩

Anybody who has actually shown curiosity and used the app knows you’re wrong about this. If you were to try to introduce spam bots, they’d rescind their verifications of you and wonder why you tried to introduce spam into the system.

Don’t trust, verify goes for fudsters too. Show us. All data that flows over the wire is clearly visible in plain text in your browser’s console. Show us where private keys are being passed.

You can’t. Because they aren’t.

I’m over here trying to build cool and interesting things that are fun to use and make the protocol better. What are you doing?

Because it seems like you’re just trying to rain on our parade in the most uninformed way imaginable.

No matter mate. We have ☔️☔️☔️

Use an extension as recommended just below the sign in form. This app provides the exact same sign in options as every other popular app. I used them as my guide for Nostr UX/key management practices.

As for SSL, you wouldn’t be able to visit the app using https:// if it wasn’t set up. You clearly have no idea how extensions or SSL works. Please stop pretending to be an authority.

I have to imagine you have an agenda for fudding this project, but I assure you, this app, the progress of this protocol, and the community we are building won’t be held back by it.

The only thing that is getting harmed here is your reputation.

Also, as I say on the site, and repeatedly on Nostr. Please use an extension when signing in to this and any other site. Extensions work on iOS Safari with Nostore and on desktop Firefox with nos2x. I’ve set tomorrow aside to figure out what’s going on with Chrome.

I’m doing my best to learn how to build fun things on Nostr. The last thing I’m going to do is nuke all my hard work and my reputation for some social keys. 😂 Btw, thank you for your work on Nostrica. It was an amazing time. 😊

What is https://NotABot.net ?

The Purpose: Join a relay of fully verified NotABots. All humans. No spam bots. 🫂 *Setting this relay up is next on the list. I’m just one dude. 😅

The Objective: To become a Fully Verified NotABot.

The Way: Receive 5 verifications. Give 5 verifications. Make sure they’re all reciprocal.

The Strategy: GLHF

The Cost: Mine verifications with social proof of work. If zaps emerge, keep it fair and reasonable. Let’s not let our beloved zaps detract from the social signal. 🫂 will keep the signal stronger than ⚡️ IMO, but it’s all human coordination and cooperation. It’s all valid.

Reputation matters. Confidence scores will be a thing. Don’t be the one to invite the bots. Your verifications can always be rescinded. 🫥 (Yes! I finally found a use for that emoji!)

The Challenge: We are used to apps bending over backwards to make it easy for us to join using high time preference tactics and instant gratification. Not here. 😂 We all want you to make it in. But like all good things, it’s gonna take some effort. Be patient. Never feel rejected. If are not a bot, we will make sure you have a path in. Reach out if you’re having a tough time in this regard. I never want anybody to feel less than because of something I’ve built.

The Beauty: Inclusivity 💜

🙋‍♂️ Hi Angela. I’m the creator of this intentionally challenging, but hopefully fun little app. 😊 Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Good to know. Thanks. I’ve set tomorrow aside for tackling this issue. Hopefully, it’s a straightforward fix.

Haven’t seen him yet

I believe it

Hmmm… If the button is gray, then the app thinks you don’t have a verification to give, which you do, so please try to refresh the page. Especially on mobile, the relay connections are getting dropped and the app needs to be refreshed often. I know how to fix this, and it’s on the list. Thanks for bearing with it entropy. Feel free to reach out if this doesn’t help or with any other issues.

Hint though… Instead of reciprocating with me, find someone new to verify. Reciprocations won’t count as Given verifications. The goal is to receive five and give five. It’s setup to encourage people to work together to get each other verified.

Hope your Saturday is going well! 🤙
