The need for a Nostr-native payment interface for mobile apps
What if users could choose their wallet and enjoy native payments directly in the app? Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC) makes that possible. NWC allows users to pair any wallet and pay natively in any Nostr app. Users donโt have to switch contexts anymore and open another app. The exchange of payment information (e.g. the Lightning invoice and payment receipt) happens over the Nostr protocol.
Zaps, lightning payments on Nostr, are incredibly popular. Users send several thousands of payments every day to each other. Now, NWC removes the last hurdles. Unstoppable zapping for users will be the consequence. It has never been easier to send and receive real value within apps in a peer-2-peer manner.

The ideal wallet integration (imo) has landedโฆ As a user I donโt want to have a balance in every app I use. And as a dev, I want to focus on the core value prop of my apps, not on wallet dev. This could be what the future of app interoperability looks like on Nostr.

Totally on brand for the French since they are probably the westโs most prolific revolutionaries. Got it. Reciprocations should not count when they are given or received, but they are good to get and give because it strengthens that bond. The future algorithm will award more points to fully reciprocated connections.
I think early on someone thought that their reciprocation cost them a Give and I just didnโt bother to correct it because reciprocations are secondary to newly established connections.
There is currently no limit to the number of verifications you can receive or give (though there probably should be). And you should be able to reciprocate without that counting against your available Gives. Go ahead and try verifying me. You should be able to even though you donโt have any to Give.

Thank you for letting me know. Hmmmโฆ It is still working for me, so Iโm not able to troubleshoot it on my end.
I do see that I have an iOS software update available though. And now I donโt want to to apply it in case thatโs the culprit. Are you running the latest version if you donโt mind me asking?
