In it for the freedom.

Definitely agree. Took me a while to start to 'break through' with Nostr, I am nowhere near where I am with Twitter yet, but it's worth it. I had my Twitter account suspended for a few days a few months back (for talking about this place, since Elon is a very insecure man), and I saw how although I put many hours into it, it was never really mine. I think Bitcoiners who 'don't get' Nostr don't want to put in the work of being equal again and re-gaining followers. Maybe they are worried it won't happen. Nostr values different things, can't get big on Nostr just dunking on Bitcoiners and making nothing.

I think it would be interesting if someone built a privacy themed Nostr client. Perhaps it uses e-cash instead of Lightning.

So, there seems to be big a big market in this. In some Json script what they do is they give it a ticker name, a max supply and then a cap on how much you can grab at once. The grabbing is actually free at first, like an airdrop, giving 'some' distribution. Hopefully, it becomes valued for... reasons. After this, the coins are then up for grabs elsewhere on specific brc20 sites (they exist already) or inscriptions exchanges. The thing about NFTs is that although collections may have floor prices, nothing can beat 20 seconds of work on 1 line of code creating 1 million tokens of uniform price.

I think it will be a major piece in keeping Bitcoin alive. Well Bitcoin has no problem staying alive, but keeping people having access to buying it even if centralized exchanges get shut down.

Yeah, I use nos2x, apparently could have been using Alby the whole time!

Nos2x works too in Kiwi. Can authorize one page at a time, for 5 minutes or forever (as long as you have tab open)

This is where nostr really shines. Not in full app Twitter clones, but micro apps that you can bring your npub identity with you. And don't have to keep on signing in. Your browser signs for you. This is the kind of thing Web3 tried to sell you an NFT to give you access to places online. (Tiketmaster is doing concert tickets and metaverse concert tickets.) But nope. Just need cryptograpic keys, Don't need a token.

The numbers show (even after removing spam accounts) most Nostr users are Asians. And although people like to say "Bitcoiner echo chamber," the numbers show a majority of these accounts do not (yet) have their Lightning set up.

An opportunity exists here.

Yeah, I think either of these first two will be viewable by everyone.

Really? I can't find it anywhere. Not on the Google Play Store. The one on the Alby site is for the Chrome store says Desktop and doesn't say Android anywhere.

Are you just talking about normal Alby accounts? Cause that's different.

I have the nos2x browser extension running in Kiwi browser. (The alby browser extension seems to be desktop only)

However, when I'm using amethyst, the app, I have an alby account, that I use to setup my wallet connect so I don't have to open up a separate wallet, I just press the bolt, press the amount, and that's it.

Oh, 62 million, lol didn't see that. Nostr don't have no delete button.

Idunno, this is pretty interesting. In the Bitcoin op_return data, is a link to this website. I checked it out, and people are using Json scripts in inscriptions to to emulate Ethereum's ERC-20 (tokens) and ERC-721(NFTs). Called BRC-20s and BRC-721. I mean, it's shitcoiny, yes. But goes to show everything you can do elsewhere, you can also do on Bitcoin.

Hey, so I'm a little lost on the Nip95 debate. If I update Amethyst, will everyone except people also running the latest versions after... I think version 38.0 of Amethyst not be able to see my images?

Most people haven't updated, right? Because, I can't see the images of people that have, right?
