The value proposal for businesses from nostr is actually crazy. Marketing, online commerce, fundraising and even TIPS all rolled into one.

AI + FOSS + Bitcoin + Nostr. Such an awesome combo. The future of software development. We could also tip the AI with sats like devs. Obviously that would really be a kickback to whoever is hosting the AI but now there's an incentive structure. Maybe there could be a marketplace of AI providers.

Need that gif of that guy eating popcorn

Even if it hits 120 out here in Vegas, Im still sippin on a hot cuppa joe.

The algorithmic curated feed became a necessity out of the sheer volume of internet content.

The problem is noise to signal.

Anyone who's setup their own RSS feed has had the issue where it's either a leaky faucet or a fire hose.

But ownership and individual tailoring of your personal feed is the next wave and potentially the killer feature of nostr. A marketplace of feeds!

I honestly believe that legacy social media is conditioning people to be desensitized to objectively awful behavior/values. Literally a psy-op to corrupt people's souls tbh.

I know that there are plenty of bitcoiners that are still on Windows/Mac and not using a Free and Open Source operating system like Linux.

And I get it. Linux can be confusing and tough to get into. If you're deep in a certain tech ecosystem, that also complicates things.

But not running Linux is like having a custodial PC. You don't truly own your computer. You're not free to audit, modify or run the software as you see fit on your own computer.

At the same time I recognize that perfect is the enemy of good. Replacing your entire operating system probably seems a bit drastic. So I would say to start replacing some of the non-linux compatible and proprietary software with FOSS alternatives.

Outlook -> Thunderbird

MS Office -> LibreOffice

Video Games -> Read a book

Also, with WINE and some other workarounds there's usually a way to get a lot of your old apps working on Linux with a few (although admittedly big) exceptions.

Remember, the "free" in software means: free as in freedom, not free beer.

Libre not gratis.

GM. I literally get hyped just thinking about the possibilities and potential of nostr. 🤓😅

This meme is so good lol

A good gift involves sacrifice.

I wonder what apps would be particularly difficult if not impossible to replace with nostr. Something like Uber may be challenging but still doable I think.

Dang he is just pumping them out. Nice to have him back. Hopefully he starts up the pod again.

Anybody here know anything about this Quai Network stuff? Saw a little bit of it at Bitcoin 2025. Is it interesting at all or just more shitcoinery?

Oughta be a crime to bring your bluetooth speaker out to nature

Probably multiple factors. I mean people have access to a practically infinite library of entertainment at your fingertips at home. Kinda hard to compete with that lol.

It's also impossible sometimes to get people to come and hang out. I go to meetups often and I'm almost always the youngest person there.

Not yet. There's a crate for that though so I'm thinking about it.

Hey gang. It was awesome meeting everyone at #nosvegas and connecting with all sorts of funny, interesting and smart souls these past few days. Seriously, this community is awesome. I mentioned to some of you that I've been working on a nostr client of my own and since I've gotten quite a few more followers since I last posted about, I thought I would go ahead and shill it again for you all. It's super simple and minimalistic. Geared towards the nerdy linux types that do stuff like read email or check their rss feed in their terminals. Its called Nostratui and its built with rust using the ratatui library. Link here: https://github.com/adamm-xyz/nostratui

GM. Look who I met today.

Trying #notedeck right now and loving how snappy it is.

As an employer you could fetch all these json resumes and filter/grep for revelant experiences among candidates.

I mean your resume could just be a json that documents all your experiences, work history, education, etc.

Thinking about a nostr powered job board as an alternative to LinkedIn
