We're definitely talking about verification, because without verification, they don't "know their customer"

Logic fail

Sounds like you should find a better service then.

What's that? You still use them? Guess you couldn't find a better option.

So what are you even complaining about

Yeah I've seen it every time you repost it.

Like the "over 18" self-reporting, there is no verification - which means a real name is NOT required, despite whatever it says there.

Incorrect.

*A* name is required.

Are you suggesting that Starbucks is KYC because they ask for - and don't verify - a name in order to get your coffee ?

Ask and require are two totally different things.

Police can ASK for your ID at any time, but they can only REQUIRE it under specific circumstances.

Do you not realize the difference?

BullBitcoin ASKS for - but doesn't REQUIRE - KYC should be the accurate message. Otherwise you're as wrong as the people who say BB is "KYC free"

The term itself REFERS to the legal framework.

Companies aren't implementing KYC because they want to, they're implementing it because they're forced to follow the regulations by government agents.

There is no "KYC" without the regulations. Pretending they don't have anything to do with our discussion is the most dishonesty I've seen so far on this topic.

Show me where BullBitcoin or BTC sessions said that?

BullBitcoin offers the ability to stack sats without KYC. Nobody who knows what they're talking about would say BullBitcoin is "KYC free"

And they won't know who you are if you don't tell them.

But saying KYC is just "knowing your customer" is absolutely a false statement. While the acronym KYC stands for those three words, there is an enormous legal framework in place that people are referencing when they say KYC.

Feel free not to use their service then.

But for most Canadians this is by far the best way available to stack KYC-free sats.

KYC is the process of identity VERIFICATION.

Which they do not require in order to complete transactions.

Notice where it doesn't say KYC is the process of ASKING for an unverified identity. KYC is the process of VERIFYING the identity.

Bro really wore a tinfoil hat to disparage anyone who had valid concerns about the safety of this new technology that has no long-term safety data - at the same time the government was bragging about how much money it spent on "influencers" to shift public perception (aka propaganda)

Where's the lie though? They're providing you the opportunity to KYC-free sats.

Where does this contradict anything BB or BTC sessions has said?

You tell me, that was your choice of words not mine.
