Yes, I appreciate the difference between the victims and the oppressors , the history that is being attempted to be hidden , recall the civil rights movement, racism and prejudice which is currently growing, the plight of women , indigenous . LGBTQ , knowledge-banning books, etc. and largely thought that was a given ,so do not attach a disclaimer before a comment in what I believe to be an informed forum .

To clarify Republicans are clearly the bad ones, Democrats mostly the good , but 2 years is spent by all to elect a President .That is alien to me as we do not and our leader can get the boot in an instant ,not elected except by caucus , our supreme court can be fired for offenses , etc .That is why i said from my perspective and used the Christian God as Christian religion and concepts of morals are intertwined with governance and make laws

nostr:npub14zaknyd0lt4mmc62yj6gh7kpmvrwrvp7gxxssr44d87skw94kl6q6s5vmz AS long as you get that the "Americans" of which you speak are fascists trying to take over the nation. They are not all of us, they are attacking us. nostr:npub1fjdj5tj35876qnqkmaklqfe03n6md9lx2ek6lc6fm0vzxa0gxprq795ae9

Yes I have recently heard another talking head mention pardon. Just as you say StillIRise1963, they start early and see our reactions to bullshit. Then start testing alternative ways to phrase and what sticks.

If a pardon happens, it would open the door for something even worse. Imagine Trumpelstiltskin with brains and self control.

A friend who was a WW2 veteran passed in 2020. He kept telling me "Don't like what I see, I have seen this before." He knew I was seeing it

nostr:npub192dgjjzzjnjeuqcjfyw285nsx92m84nffwkn4cha7cskwl6mwa0qmkf0cc It doesn't apply to advertising either. Advertising probably coined the phrase.

SadplyTrump did not violate any court order and he attended to all the judges' calls. I hate it, but there is no suspicion he is trying to evade justice. So he seems to have the right to wait out of jail.

It is sad. I would love to see him in jail...

I think full isolation would be torture for him. I'm good with that.

nostr:npub18pms3csmwdfhpgt72q9rtr837snrzk436kttw4guderk28vpxhgs9hpgep Same. If you take away his money and his audience, it will be torture.

Will he? *highly* doubtful. Just realities. Happy to be wrong but I just don't see it.

home confinement would be f-ing useless. I did see something about an FBI "safe house" for mob squealers that MIGHT be ok. Keeping him in a normal prison would be tough on its administration, where do SS stay, etc. IF that place on an army base near Baltimore would have no internet, no phone calls, tv locked on msnbc, visitors limited & regulated like in prison, prison-type food, no choices, maybe two rooms like a Residence Inn, I'd buy it. Easier to manage.

nostr:npub18pms3csmwdfhpgt72q9rtr837snrzk436kttw4guderk28vpxhgs9hpgep Yep. He can't be allowed to communicate without tight surveillance.

nostr:npub189nhq0cw33243htm08c53vjvgc5letv7d9sgqtgqsn6fnx6dv8zs0fsatx From the article it came from: “Current and former agents said Trump’s detail would coordinate their protection work with the Bureau of Prisons to ensure there was no conflict about duties or about how they would handle emergencies, as well as the former president’s routine movements in a prison — such as heading to exercise or meals. The Secret Service, they said, would maintain a bubble around Trump in any case, keeping him at a distance from other inmates.”

nostr:npub189nhq0cw33243htm08c53vjvgc5letv7d9sgqtgqsn6fnx6dv8zs0fsatx Well it's not a case of "but it hasn't been done before" it's a case of "the law failed to be complete enough to cover this contingency". But the general opinion of Secret Service agents, asked independently, seems to be that the service could still do their job in a prison. The assignment, having to hang around in a prison all day, would be super unpopular with agents! But it could be done. I want to see him in prison. Home confinement wouldn't be enough for me.

We can do all kinds of things here depending on who wants them done. WE SHOULD BE THE DECIDERS.
