Try either dumbells or cables if you can set them up right. You want a decline bench. It also helps to breath in as you press. I have the same problem, but I've managed to get sore a few times with cables- basically pushing down more than out. Apparently, most of the muscle fibers actually go in that direction anyway.

My apologies with the long response but when discussing things in the sciences, especially with the amount I've read in the field of phych and Evo psych its best to be a bit consice. I can only dig in so much in a post.. I should really just let it die but hopefully this is enough of an awnser for you to see my point of view and i suppose we can agree to disagree.

evolutionary psychologists have discussed this idea and have debunked it in the sense that most have a very skewed view of what is alpha and beta based of personal experience and think it is also a solid description of a person in all things, such as the description op gave. Not to mention we are always in a hiarchy. We Dont have a choice, it's part of not only our unconcious but there's evidence within our collective unconscious in regards to the archytype we embody. This is a fundamental truth that i cannot stress enough but if we can't agree on it... I don't know what to tell you, can't really have a conversation. . Culture is downstream of biology and that is an important fact in how we became how we are . One can be an alpha in one aspect and a beta in another and it's rarely super static. Someone marching to the beat of their own drum. Is jsut another word for someone with a strong frame Wich is a hallmark of an alpha archytype. A beta is not even nessesarily a bad thing. It can be. For instance Bruce Lee was an alpha in the sense on martial arts, and women and some other things. But if put in a room full of physics professor and then the group is told to solve something, he is now the beta and must play the fool archytype and learn. That's not bad that he follows. Now you could argue that he is a sigma in a sense that he travelled to the west and did his own thing and carved his own path. However that is also what Evo psychs define as part of an alpha trait, also a hierarchy was immidiately formed around him with him at the top this naturally thrusting him into alpha role regardless. We can take many people throughout history who rose like guts in berserk, but in dissection, with even that arbitrary character himself, youl jsut find an alpha entering new environments.

Look, this is where it comes from:

https://alphagameplan.blogspot.com/2011/03/socio-sexual-hierarchy.html

I don't think there's much interest in funneling all this through the Evo Psych 'experts'. Instead, we want to understand what we are seeing when we have to deal with social situations- perhaps improve our own situations. Vox Day coined this term, and he's going to put a book out, which I think will be called Socio-Sexual Hierarchy. Even he notices the Sigma category is constantly misrepresented online, but again, it is a category that makes sense in it's original form. Despite the relative rareness of the Sigma, there are still too many cases in which the person cannot possibly be an alpha, because he doesn't play alpha games, and yet he is succesful.

Who comes up with this tortured logic about 'giving' something that has already been taken?

I listened to you and John talk about NoAgenda Awards. I'm thinking the crew that can pull it off are here and on places like Fountain and other podcasting 2.0 apps. I know John probably doesn't want to play with the Bitcoin kinder, but this is where the fire is. Megyn Kelly and Joe Rogan will only drag you down. (Although Joe is probably pretty flexible, if he gets out of that contract with spotify)

Event planning (i.e. throwing parties) can be very lucrative!

Three day weekend. Three long form posts! This one is about growth of cities, communities- likely applies to anything involving multiple humans...

Growth done Properly

Blogstack and Habla- tough to find the good reads. Needs some kind of ranking system, or maybe an AI pretending to be a grammar teacher grading all the posts? I read fast, so presumably I could rank them if there were a market for it. I am biased towards my own content though.

When I was a child, I think there were some people in the MidWest who literally put on Nazi uniforms and had a parade. National news picked it up. As far as I can tell, everybody just laughed at them. Exposure made them less attractive, not more. Additionally, most of us knew they were socialists.

Now everybody is a Nazi. The White Nationalist movement is now more diverse the NAACP. Because this is word magic being employed by corrupt governments.

We can tell whether or not a policy is good or not without these words. We can see whether on not someone on nostr is worth paying attention to without these words.

When Richard Spencer started doing stuff, he'd regularly be stopped from giving speeches at colleges. It actually seemed like he might have something good to say. But eventually he started being able to say stuff, and exposed himself as an idiot.

Your impulse to ban runs contrary to your stated desires.

My first long form post on blogstack.io. The Cancer of Cities, in which I describe the problem, and intend to post on solutions.

So far, the only thing I've learned from AI is that artichokes may be a good thing to add to my diet. Good for cognition, probably anti-inflammatory, assuming the studies are actually real.

Yes, I was thinking that might be the case. Probably have to change my fence line to be more habitable for bamboo, and then the poison ivy wouldn't grow back more because the environment has changed than because of the bamboo.

If you are designing office space where there will be a lot of delivers, you might do well to have your dock & staff lounge near each other. If drivers know they can get a cup of coffee or whatever at your place, they are more likely to prioritize getting to you.

A lot of bureaucrat types forget to treat delivery drivers like they are human.

Has he ever seen bamboo and poison ivy in the same place?

I ask because I haven't, and wonder if planting bamboo would keep poison ivy away.

She wore boots that looked way to big for her. But they also appeared to be about the only thing holding her to the earth.

It's too oriented to the chat itself, rather than the content of the chat- and the longer feedback loop where you stop chatting and go try something based on the chat, and then come back with some success/failure feedback.

I dunno. I think redditors are probably more likely to shoot themselves in the foot than nonredditors.
