I’ve been on a bit of a break from Nostr for the last few months. We’ve been very busy at nos.social so it fell off my work checklist and personally I just haven’t had any interest/energy for microblogging lately. But I’m feeling ready to jump back in.

I have to say one of the more exciting tech things for me recently has been AI actually getting really useful for development work. Between Cursor and Warp I’m saving a lot of time on simple and medium-complexity tasks. It helps that I’ve been experimenting with a lot of unfamiliar tech.

2025 is really off to a crazy start. I hear about another mass shooting, natural disaster, war, or just general chaos every time I turn on the TV or read the news. I’m trying to stay optimistic, while remaining informed about the world around me, but it’s becoming overwhelming.

That is sad to hear. I feel like Earth is more intriguing than we give it credit for. But the grass is always greener where you water it.

There are no "aliens" from other planets. There is not a single indication of their existence and we have no reason to believe in them. Second, with regards to your use of the word “indigenous,” is it your assertion that Jews were not indigenous to this area before 1948? That’s a really strange claim considering, um, the well documented and recorded history of the region (as well as the archeological record).

Third, I’m curious about your understanding of the word “occupation” given that Israel completely pulled its residents out of Gaza and handed it over in 2005.

You bring up several interesting points about the misuse of surveillance technologies, but you are incorrect to label Israel’s response to Hamas’s attacks as a genocide. This is a war. That may be uncomfortable for you to hear, given what you may have read or heard.
