This explains why adding vanilla to flavor shit (even when it's supposedly real) seems to always be a problem for me.
I personally think it's better to just mostly avoid it. Heat tends to damage the fat (so does light) & good extra virgin olive oil has a really strong flavor that I'm not crazy about. I think both olive oil & avocado oil carry with them a pretty high oxydative load.
I generally feel best when I cook with tallow or lard.
Go on amazon & order a big tub of grass fed beef tallow & cook with that instead of using PAM & other veg oils.
And avoid all products that contain soybean oil, canola oil, cottonseed oil, corn syrup, etc.
No matter how high you climb, you can't bring down the view. People have to do what it takes to get there themselves, or they just won't ever see it.

Accepting where you are, & identifying with your flaws, are two very different things. Accepting where you are is important & generally necessary for growth & progress. Identifying with your flaws is a very big obstacle to progress.
And of course, celebrating flaws is a whole different sort of evil.
Yeah, I can appreciate an impressive performance of any kind. So I'm rarely unhappy if someone offers me a ticket to a game. But the culture around sports is beer & tribalism which I don't like, & generally speaking I just don't care that much about any of the rest of it either.
Nah, because I think there is a mindful & artful way to do things, but most people, most of the time, do most things rather thoughtlessly.
