I’ve had my LNURL disappear a few times, but never anything this large. Hope things work out.
The stutters are the worst. I can live with almost everything else, though some are testing the large notes that take some scrolling to overcome.
I agree in a way. Overall, it’s too early to tell. I love the idea of Nostr and see how it could benefit, but that relies on continued use and adoption. Right now Nostr feels siloed within Bitcoin culture. However, the growth in use cases seems to be occurring rapidly. If that continues, I’m sure more will come and Nostr could grow into something formidable. Currently, the hype is driving the growth. But will it sustain over the longterm?
Yes and yes. I would have loved this from the get-go. Though I did find Alby in the midst of trying to figure out how to get a lightning url and have appreciated its integration with nostr. Might be hard for me to switch back. But it is nice to have everything in once place as well. Overall, it’s nice to have options.
Hmm. I don’t know. Seems fine on my end.
Does this work?

Happy birthday!
Such a great album.
“You put your heart and soul into your work and they devour you. They even devour the filth in your soul. They're all literate. They all have voracious appetites. They all keep crowding round - journalists, editors, critics, a constant stream of women. All of them clamoring for more. What kind of writer am I if I detest writing? It it's torture for me, a painful, shameful occupation, something akin to extruding hemorrhoids. I used to think my books helped people to become better, but nobody needs me. If I die, in a couple of days, they'll find someone else to devour. I wanted to change them, but they've changed me to fit their own image.” — Writer, “Stalker” 1979
I’m unsure about the game inspiration, but the movie was terrific. I love several older Russian storytellers (Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky primarily), but I never thought to give their movies a try. I stumbled upon this one and now want to check out more. It was quite good. This movie was based on a book, Roadside Picnic, by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. This has opened a whole new world for me.
I watched Stalker today, a 1979 Russian film. Don’t know what you’re in the mood for right now, but it’s a slow moving, sci-fi, philosophical movie that was better than expected. You can watch the whole thing for free if you don’t mind it being on YouTube.
I’m loving the chaos.
"More important than all, is that we must keep in mind that Nostr is just a very loose set of servers with basically no connection between them, there are no guarantees of anything, and the process of keeping connected to others and finding content must be addressed through many different hackish attempts. To write Nostr applications and to use Nostr one must embrace the inherent chaos.” — #[0]
A vision for content discovery and relay usage for basic social-networking in Nostr
I’ve used Session through Setapp. Nice ui and connects to a calendar.
Hey, it worked! Took me awhile to figure out where the copy gif link was but I got it.

In my unscientific experiments last night, a lot of the spam was coming from the damus relay. I’m connected to a lot of the paid relays but still want the free ones too.
