Pretty stoked after my day with nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm Hub. Managed to get everything set up to my liking. Now any lightning txs that go to btcsessions@getalby.com will go directly to my self custodial lightning node purring away on my nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll. I was also able to seamlessly link all of this to nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 on my phone.

I've got some editing to do, but the tutorial will show how to use the cloud hosted option first, followed by a full self sovereign setup on your own hardware. Looking forward to releasing this one.

Must be nice to get that one on one help.

Gulf States Embrace Bitcoin Mining with Green Energy Push, UAE and Oman Leading

> China has a complex and turbulent history with cryptocurrencies. In 2013, the Chinese government banned financial institutions from handling transactions related to Bitcoin, citing concerns about security and financial stability. Subsequently, in 2017, China further tightened the regulations, banning ICOs (Initial Coin Offering) and shutting down cryptocurrency exchange platforms, in an attempt to reduce the risks associated with speculative bubbles and illicit activities. Finally, in 2021, the People’s Bank of China declared illegal all cryptocurrency transactions, thus consolidating one of the strictest bans in the world. However, despite these strict bans, China has continued to play a fundamental role in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The country has indeed been a leader in the Bitcoin mining sector for a long time, thanks to low energy costs and the presence of advanced technologies.

Authenticated Boot and Disk Encryption on Linux

https://0pointer.net/blog/authenticated-boot-and-disk-encryption-on-linux.html

> Linux has been supporting Full Disk Encryption (FDE) and technologies such as UEFI SecureBoot and TPMs for a long time. However, the way they are set up by most distributions is not as secure as they should be, and in some ways quite frankly weird. In fact, right now, your data is probably more secure if stored on current ChromeOS, Android, Windows or MacOS devices, than it is on typical Linux distributions.
