If we imagine ourselves as the complex moving parts and the platform in its simplest form it might be possible. It think I could imagine it…
Fair. Maybe I am being too idealistic. Of course people should be allowed to better themselves through their own labour. And they will. I just think something like a market platform utilising bitcoin and nostr could be constructed similarly without a centre. Why would we accept someone in the centre when I can otherwise just shout “I got pie for sale” and wait for the buyer…
Maybe we just wait for someone to create it. There’ll be incentive possibilities for some in places I’m sure, but it is amazing how many people are doing it for selfless reasons. Proper karmic living. And at least humble plebs can now zap some value thanks to those building the tools!
Do you need to monetise it? Would it not just be great to have to lower the costs of buying and selling goods. Everyone, you included could benefit from those reduced costs. Centralising platforms monetising their services is over. With bitcoin and nostr, everyone benefits and saves money because of the the value of the open service. This will be the case with the #zapmarket
Inflation is pie theft
Of course and sell them. Recently bought a yoga mate. Need to sell some roto lights and a board game. Waiting on that zap market 🤞
Posting gold. Makes gold. #bitcoin
Thank you! Hope you’ve had a great day Shevacai 😉

Only negligence to the young
Part 1 of Paul Kingsnorth’s excellent essay on the internet…
“Lucifer, the fallen angel, the ‘light-bringer’, was a being of pure spirit. Lucifer’s influence pulled humans away from the material realm and towards a gnostic ‘oneness’, entirely without material form. Ahriman, meanwhile, was at the other pole. Named for an ancient Zorastrian demon, Ahriman was a being of pure matter. He manifested in all things physical - especially human technologies - and his worldview was calculative, ‘ice-cold’ and rational. Ahriman’s was the world of economics, science, technology and all things steely and forward-facing. ‘The Christ’ was the third force: the one who resisted the extremes of both, brought them together and cancelled them out.”

Well said Ian!
GM plebs. Some environmental #bitcoin stats courtesy of Swan.
#1: Bitcoin mining is responsible for 0.17% of the world's energy consumption.
#2: Bitcoin is the greenest industry on the planet with over 50% of its energy coming from renewable sources. By comparison, only 20% of the US energy grid is from renewables.
#3: Integrating Bitcoin mining rigs into energy infrastructure incentivizes the construction and innovation of green energy projects by reducing the time taken to pay back investments and in some cases making a green energy project financially viable.
