I believe that NIP is to enable the zap button to like the like button and zap people or get zapped sats same as a like. Shows how many times you have been zapped the way it shows likes

Real quick, micropayment style, cool little bonus to the endorphins, better than just a like.

I have Wallet of Satoshi set up so I don't think I can receive a zap yet till they update. But I can still receive payment through my profile.

Zaps are just a little cool. And sort of tallies your clout right under your note.

It will be cool when all the wallets have enabled.

Only one I've seen so far is weirdly through a telegram bot.... seems fishy so I didn't use. I'll wait for WOS.
