This has been my experience as well. Lots of web3 people showed up asking how to invest in damus and then promptly left when I said there is no token

Some of us are here 👋 love the concept and would like to use it more but the UX is still a bit clunky so it’s been hard to navigate so far
Totally agree. Love the concept and think there’s so much potential. Just hard to onboard people to it rn. It lacks features that are widely used like Spaces, is not very intuitive, and for me is really buggy
People complain about UX. It probably is the learning curve to figure out how to get it working properly.
It's no instant gratification by a dopamine generating algorithm. And people are conditioned to have high time preference.
Give Nostr enough traction and some time, and even UX in general will beat every competing centralized platform.

Perhaps the experience here isn't very good compared to what we have elsewhere like Hive?
I'm supplying NIP-05 addresses and non-custodial lightning receipt to anyone on Hive and so far I think 20 have tried it.
And frankly when you can earn proper money for popular posts on Hive and convert that to sats if you want, there is very little incentive to try posting here.
Nostr is still not really useful except for talking to Bitcoin fans.
