I think it was a case of me being inpatient once I had everything set up correctly. A few people said it took 15 minutes through to a few days for their clients to show their verification status.
It's still not showing up for me on some clients (like snort social + iris + ).
Now I gotta figure out how to customise the verified badge, if that's possible.
People were very helpful when I was having issues so I want to pass help on to others who might not know how to get verified or don't want to pay.
I'm running 3–4 NOSTR clients between web and phone at any one time.
Anyone else like this?

We have to be aware of the danger for NOSTR to go the way of email.
Whoever is best funded will likely build the best client and everyone will end up on that. If they choose the advertising route to monetise you could end up with a Twitter like experience.

NOSTR does not suppress posts that link externally.
Your audience might appreciate you highlighting that if they are looking to build an audience, NOSTR is more valuable than Twitter if your goal is to then use this as a top of funnel to drive attention to an external source.
You can probably get orders of magnitude more eye balls and click throughs on your external links here than on Twitter with the same sized audience.

I've got the .htaccess folder in my public_html folder so that should be all good unless there's something else wrong with it.
From the http response headers it says your using a platform called "hostinger".

There is a note at the bottom that says the .htaccess file needs to be at the "origin source" which im presuming they mean put it at "public_html/.htaccess" and not in the ".well-known" folder.
Thanks - yup my .htaccess is in the public_html folder, not in the .well-known folder.
