I supported bigger blocks.
uuuhhh, it's not the money, it's the encryption. The signature. Consult an attorney and your HAM radio training.
'Inflation' is such a god damn scam. It's not a simple number. It's a vector space. It's every product or service and at every location on earth, different. It's a highly complex thing but they don't really want to measure that. They just want it to say they haven't printed too much money for themselves.
Snagged the best used one on Amazon. My health had been suffering and doctors were unhelpful and clueless, but taking control of the food I eat made the difference. Food is so critical, It's disgusting what we've let our food become, at least in America.
Generating a key can be done just as well anywhere. I mean, there are different levels of random and entropy, but a hardware wallet doesn't inherently do this better than a python script.
A hardware wallet does it without the secret ever being online, on any machine thats online, etc.
When you go to sign a message to nostr, you'd have to ask the hardware to do it and go through it's whole process for signing, ' are you sure? ' etc.
This is not great in reality, as you're signing so many messages, dealing with a hardware wallet for each one is very tedious. We need the delegation NIP finished, so we can delegate to a less secure key from our cold keys.
I would hope most of them just fail to understand, rather than having a desire to undermine freedom.
There will be relay operators who agree with you, so you have that, at least.
Calling for it, or admitting that it's completely within the protocol to do, as a client or relay operator?
It's not that it's required. It just kind of is. There's always an agreement in etiquette between people in a social scenario. A client or relay has some terms, it's just the nature of existing. It has an operator who has a mind and so has an opinion and so has an ideology about what crosses that line.
It's not required, but we can't change what social animals we are.
i feel old now
Bitcoin hurts nations and we're fighting those nations.
I think it does, though. Not for Nostr broadly, but for the client/node operator. Pretending there's no service operators and no terms is a lie.
Relay operators can and will offer filtering, algorithms and safe places for the 90% who desire protection and willingly offer themselves up to some authority, for it.
Nostr as a protocol can't require more of them than that.
They are monopoly on supply, thus in control of the result of that math.
Tribes aren't typically that big. We don't need a secular global thing. We need our city/state/church/club micro-community to use this for access to the shared tribal resources. The WHY we're being verified is the most important question. Why verify personhood and keep anonymity? Personhood is useful locally, but really not needed globally. We shouldn't be making global governments of anything. Global things, where we aren't co-local, just requires the digital parts, which we have.

Best client out there, no doubt. Love the new social network control.
The only things I can desire are fancy additional features.
My Zaps need to count. Love seeing the counts of zaps but its disappointing when my own zaps don't show.
'Whats Zappening' - Global style feed of zaps, most zapped posts, most sats earned posts
Channels, wen? - similar to DMs but channels

Circular economies in purely digital situations, where the enforcement of some useful rights/access, within the ecosystem, is done is a useful thing already.
I do find value in being able to run the game forever, with or without the corporate host.
Who sold the NFTs though? Who claimed the authority to grant the rights, collect your contribution? Who is the issuer? I don't know much about Decentraland, but I presume it's a scammy fundraiser thing for the developers who really control the ecosystem. They get to take these risks with KYC and money transmitter requirements because they don't have any of their own money or debt at stake.
If it was more of an immaculate conception, and the land rights were issued to the node operators or the first players or the first winners, then maybe we'd have something. Legitimate companies will explore this when the legal situation is clear but like I said before, their profit interests make it hard to want it. They'd rather be a central issuer of all access and items, than allow players to recycle the content amongst themselves.
