Reminds me of a quote.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Secession is almost certainly the best, of a bunch of bad choices left to us today. Theoretically, different states or counties could vote to secede and create their own nations or join with others to form a nation that stands for their beliefs. The US is no longer a melting pot. It is now multiple groups with irreconcilable differences.
This article explains why the many arguments against secession are not valid.

I've come to this conclusion. Of course we shouldn't call them public schools. If truth in advertising applied to the government, they should be called government indoctrination centers.

Sanctions force South Asian nation to ditch dollar payments to Russia – Nikkei Asia
From RT
Bangladesh will repay a loan for the construction of its first nuclear power plant in Chinese yuan Bangladesh is set to make loan repayments in Chinese yuan for its nuclear power plant being built by Russia, as a way to sidestep Western sanctions, Nikkei Asia reported on Monday. According to the news outlet, the decision […]

All US sanctions are accomplishing is speeding the dedollarization of the globe.
I'm not moving. I'm staying as far from big cities as I can. My state only has a little over 500,000 people in the whole state and the nearest city over 500,000 is probably 4.5 hours away. I bought a new car at the end of next year, so I don't have to buy a car for 10+ years, so I don't have to get whatever nonsense they come up with next.
I live in Wyoming. I've had rabbits for about a year. We just had our first litter, but only 3 survived. The rabbit droppings are doing wonders for my soil and my garden. Even if you don't eat the rabbits, they are worth having for building soil. We keep ours in our garage so they are convenient to take care of, so the critters don't try to eat them, and so their temperature is moderated. The garage doesn't get as hot or cold as outside.
I love the community you are creating.
I've been worrying about the economic ramifications of the dollar losing world reserve currency status. To a certain extent, it is happening, but because there isn't a replacement currency, most countries are just agreeing to do trade in their respective currencies. This article mentions what the likely response will be and I think its prediction is likely, at least in the near term.
I country A and B decide to do trade. Country A sells $100 billion in gods to Country B. Country B sells $90 billion in goods to Country A. They will do $90 billion in their national currencies, but the balance of $10 billion will still be done in dollars because that can be easily used in any nation. This makes sense to me.
It still sends a lot of dollars back to the US to cause inflation and it still reduces the US government's ability to finance its debt, causing increased interest rates and possibly the inability to finance its debt at all. (Although the Fed is likely to print money and buy the debt, but that will just cause more inflation).

Uk: P.G. Wodehouse Newest Author Whose Books Get Woke Rewrite
From Daily Stormer
This is a conspiracy, beyond the obvious. They are going to get you accustomed to rewriting fiction books, then they are going to rewrite nonfiction books, and tell you everyone in history was a black woman. Breitbart: In the latest censorious assault on English literature, PG Wodehouse’s celebrated comic ‘Jeeves and Wooster’ novels have reportedly […]

This is one reason I prefer physical books. I'm expecting ebooks, like Kindles to start editing books on the fly so people always have the "most up-to-date" and "acceptable" version. Unless I want to learn about recent times, I also prefer history books that are over 100 years old. They have less (although not zero) bias and are more accurate.
US Unveils Toughest-Ever Car Emissions Rule In Bid to Force Surge In EV Purchases https://www.zerohedge.com/political/us-unveils-toughest-ever-car-emissions-rule-bid-force-surge-ev-purchases
Hybrid I would do, but I won't do an EV. Where I live it is a 45 minute drive to the next town of over 10,000 population and 4-5 hours to the next town over 500,000 population. EVs just don't make sense. Also it is hard enough to find the 10 minutes to get gas. I definitely don't have an hour plus to charge my batteries.
Leonbergers were created by breading St. Bernards, Newfoundlands, and a pinch of great pyranees to get a dog that looks like a lion. My Leonberger is a runt, though. Most males are more like 150 lbs.
I've been stating seeds in my kratky hydroponics system. It is a pain getting the plants out of the net cups to plant in the garden. Originally I cut out some of the net in the cups, but it still would damage the roots when I pulled the plant out of the net cups. I've been testing some other methods. I've cut the bottom out of the net cups and supported a rapid rooter plug with 3 toothpicks. I've also cut some pool noodles and put the rapid rooters in the hole of the noodle to support it. (I had to enlarge the hole or it compressed the rapid rooter too much so it didn't absorb the water well. Both seem to be working pretty well. Later I'll post pictures of the results.

My old 128 lb Alaskan Malamute was my puppy until he died at 13.5 years old. My current 115 lb 5 year old Leonberger is also my puppy. Pretty much every dog is a puppy to me.
I wanted some kind of meat production. I had chickens for a year and a half, loving them, but developed a lung sensitivity that caused me to have trouble breathing and had to get rid of them. Recently I got rabbits. I think I made a mistake, though. I picked out some giant chinchillas (only have 1 doe and 1 buck at the moment) and had our first litter 3 weeks ago. I should have picked one of the less cute bunnies, like a californian or new zealand. These guys are going to be hard to kill. My husband has said he want to let them go in the yard and shoot them because killing them while holding them may be too hard. We didn't have any issues killing and processing chickens and he hunts so we kill and process deer and elk. Bunnies are different.

To introduce myself, I am a business owner (motorcycle/ATV/UTV/scooter dealer), homeschool mom of 2 (one gifted and one special needs). I garden and raise rabbits. I had raised chickens but developed a lung allergy and had to chose between eggs and breathing, so I had to chose breathing.
In my free time I enjoy reading science, history, medical, and Christian content. I pretty much only read fiction on vacation. I am working on a book/booklet called "Why I need God". My husband is an elder at our church and I am involved in the children's ministries. I have 2 teenage kids. One is leaving to go to college in August. The other has Down Syndrome and will probably never leave home. I also have a giant breed dog, a Leonberger who goes to work with me and anywhere else I can take him.
In 2015 my house burnt to the ground, vaporized by a grass fire fueled by 60+ mph winds. I've been rebuilding the homestead ever since. Covid lockdowns allowed my life to slow down enough I finally got to digging out my flower beds around my house that were destroyed by the fire, building numerous raised beds, and planting some trees. Things are coming along nicely. I'm trying to talk my husband into allowing me to get goats or hair sheep, but he isn't convinced yet.

I had a productive afternoon. After getting some work work done on my computer while riding my exercise bike for more than an hour, I emptied my bunny droppings bins and cleaned them well. They hadn't been washed, only dumped for 4 months because the snow hadn't melted in all of that time. I got one bin of seeds started in my kratky system. I'm having to restart everything due to an infestation I got. I got some rosa rogusa seeds planted in a pot to hopefully start some plants to plant outside in addition to the 2 I have. Hopefully I can get some seeds planted outside (like peas) and some more kratky seeds started tomorrow now that the snow has finally melted. (a week ago we got over 3' of snow).

Uh, folks, wage growth - as in actual tracked wages not that BLS garbage - is in freefall: "growth in after-tax wages and salaries, based on BofA deposit data, slowed to just 2% YoY on a 3MMA basis, down from the peak of 8% in April 2022, the lowest since June 2020." https://twitter.com/zerohedge/status/1646127667169591297/photo/1
And most, if not all, of that growth is due to inflation.
The trans insanity isn't just a difference of opinion. It is already sterilizing people and changes like this will kill people.

When retail spending decreases in an inflationary period, that means actual goods purchased is really declining fast. Inflation can make spending look like it has increased when people are buying fewer units at increased prices. We are seeing reduced dollars at increased prices which is a significant decrease in purchasing.
I'm expecting at least a serious recession before the end of the year, but likely a depression level drop in the economy. I hope I am wrong. The longer it takes for everything to tank, the longer people have time to prepare.
The dollar is losing value fast and when the dollar is dropped as defacto world reserve currency (already happening in a small way), our purchasing power will plummet. Get out of big cities. Learn to grow food and raise animals (chickens, ducks, quail, rabbits, goats, sheep, etc.). Stock up on supplies. If there is anything you can't do without, especially if it won't go bad, buy extra now while you can. Make connections with producers.
The better prepared you are, the less you will be harmed by the coming economic crash. Some people will be destroyed, but some people will probably only be marginally hurt.
