Helping people with overwhelming student loan debt sounds nice until you look at where the money comes from. In order to help people who foolishly took out massive student loans to get useless degrees, the government is stealing money from those who paid off their student loans, worked hard so they had no student loans, or didn't go to college and are working hard at blue collar jobs. This is theft! This is slavery! This is wrong!

Instead of stealing from those who made wise decisions to help those who made foolish decisions, maybe we should start teaching kids to make better decisions regarding college. Not everyone is better off going to college. People should look at tuition costs and go to cheaper colleges if they go to college. People need to look at whether a major will actually help them to succeed in life (HINT: victomology degrees make you less likely to get a job because no employer, in their right mind, will hire someone who has learned to be a victim because it insures getting sued). People also need to look at tradeoffs. Maybe a person will get a higher wage if they go to college, but a person who choses to not go to college starts earning a living 4+ years earlier. They don't have the cost of college and they definitely don't have the interest on college loans. If you take what they earn over a lifetime and compare it to what a college grad makes over a lifetime minus the cost of college and college loans, the person, who skipped college, will frequently do better. Obviously it varies. A doctor/lawyer/engineer who picked a state college and worked to get scholarships is definitely going to be better off than a person who didn't go to college and never gets any skills and works at fast food and retail establishments. On the other hand, a person who gets on the job training as a plumber/electrician/welder is going to be much better off than a person who gets a victomology degree (women's studies, black studies, gender studies) and goes to an expensive private college and takes out large student loans.

We need to teach wise choices, not one size fits all solutions.

When I've been gone, no matter how short the time, when I come home, my dog cry talks to me like he is telling me how rough it was being without me. Dogs are the best.

I was games leader at our church last week. I had 4 blown up balloons in a garbage bag leftover and was putting everything away. I thought I'd give the balloons to my youngest son to play with. My dog saw them and went nuts. He loves playing the game where you keep bumping the balloons up in the air. I ended up letting my dog play with the balloons. He is hilarious jumping up in the air bumping the balloon up with his nose. He is a giant breed dog, so he can get higher than I can.

Unfortunately I was too busy playing with him to get video for others to enjoy and laugh at.

Americans want freedom and stuff and success without any of the work. It doesn't work that way.

Exactly. We don't have to be completely self sufficient. We want to interact with others, but at the same time, every little step towards self sufficiency makes us stronger.

I've heard lots of people bemoan the fact that their finances or their home don't allow them to grow all of their own food. Because they can't grow it all, they grow none. Everyone can do something. It may be small, but every little step helps them and helps others.

I planted some comfrey roots in a pot this winter with the plan to plant them in my garden in the spring. They were huge, beautiful plants, then I moved the plant outside, It is very windy here and the highs and lows vary a lot. It stressed the comfrey and they looked half dead. After a while, they started looking good, so I was planning on getting them into the garden this week after my last two weeks in which I was overwhelmed busy. We had a rain two nights ago that filled the pot to the top (I guess it didn't have a drain hole or the drain hole got plugged) and drowned my comfrey. I dumped the water out and am now waiting for the comfrey to hopefully come back again.

I will get this comfrey into my garden this summer. I will. I will.

Everything Joe Biden says is wrong. It is just hard to tell when he is lying and when he is just wrong.

When Biden's son i s guilty of not paying taxes on his legal and illegal gains and when Biden says he is proud of his son, this statement rings hollow.

This "study" uses a flow model to model blood flow through the carotid artery. Their conclusion is that people, with partially blocked arteries, could have a stroke caused by elevated heart rate during exercise. There is zero evidence that this really happens, but this study could encourage people to not exercise, despite the evidence that exercise is healthy and increases lifespan.

This looks like another example of unhealthy lifestyles being encourages rather than healthy lifestyles.

I have eggs almost every day for lunch. Today I had a smoked salmon, cream cheese, & spinach omelet. Yum!

There are so many resources today that homeschooling isn't nearly as hard as people think. It is also an opportunity for the parents to relearn truths they have forgotten and to unlearn the lies they were taught in government schools. Not only the kids win with homeschooling. The whole family wins. The whole gloomy, rude, anti-parent teenager stereotype is caused primarily by the government schools. Teenagers that are homeschooled are generally more happy, loving, and pro-family.

In government schools, the encouraging and even bullying is scary common. This is why it has become so common when it was ultra-rare in the past. You can also see how it is encouraged because it used to be almost exclusively males wanting to dress as females. Now it is most common in insecure, middleschool girls.

It is scary and illogical how a momentary action like wanting to do something typical of the opposite sex causes them to instantly want to put kids on puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, or major surgery. It is so illogical that I believe it is about having kids sterilize themselves in order to reduce the population. It is the same people screaming about overpopulation and pushing the transgender cult.

My eldest is leaving home in a little over a month and is very responsible, but I need to figure out how to modify this list to help my youngest son, who has Down Syndrome, to encourage even more independence and skills. It was easy to encourage my eldest, but my youngest had so many health issues and disabilities that it was easy to help or do for him and not push him quite as hard as I should've. I've been trying to get better. When his brother leaves, we are going to have him take over several of his brother's chores. Hopefully he will step up to the responsibilities.

I have learned that encouraging him to use his strength is a motivator. He is very helpful when I ask him, "Can I borrow your muscles?"

The point of the article was how illogical the whole transgender ideology is. It makes zero sense and is antithetical to scientific reality.

If a guy (young or old) wants to wear a dress or play with dolls or wear pink, they are free to do so. There may be consequences, but they aren't life changing. (I have seen cases of single women pushing their sons to be girls because they've been hurt by guys and hate guys. This is wrong and is child abuse). If a girl wants to play tackle football, shoot guns, ride motorcyles, and study to become an electrical engineer (like me), she is welcome to do so. Many of my activities over my life, but especially when I was younger, were very tom-boyish. It would have ruined my life to allow , or especially encouraged, me to physically alter myself. I am happily married, have 2 kids, and wear dresses almost exclusively even if I still can enjoy occassionally doing my old tom-boy activities.

Physically altering a person into something they are not is so harmful. At minimum, it should be discourage. I do agree with you, though, that I don't like the government forcing adults to do or not do anything, but this transgender nonsense should not be encouraged.

There is a big difference between saying an adult can't do something and encouraging people to do something harmful, especially minors. That is our biggest problem right now. I empathize with your concern over freedom for adults, but we all need to go back to thinking logically and not denying reality and not encouraging a disconnect with reality.

If you are an adult, you can mutilate yourself to your heart's content. I don't like it and don't think it is wise, but it is their decision.

When talking about kids, they don't understand the consequences of their actions and are easily influenced by authority figures, like the teachers and influencers saying everyone who is trans is wonderful. These kids, that frequently are unsure of themselves and feeling unimportant, chemically or surgically castrate themselves and ruin their whole lives not understanding what this means for them. It is evil. It is wrong. It needs to be stopped.

None of this should ever happen until they are old enough to understand what they are doing to themselves. We are seeing more and more examples of kids who were rushed through the process and regretted it, but they can never go back. It is so life changing and body damaging, I'd even be OK having a one year waiting period to make sure adults know what they are doing to themselves and the consequences of their actions. Not every 18 year old is capable of thinking through the consequences, either.

I don't think most of the people pushing this illogical, unscientific, and harmful ideology care about the wellbeing of these kids. I believe this is a way of reducing the population by getting kids to castrate themselves. The cross sex hormones also tend to cause health problems that will cause most of them to die early. It isn't about rights. It is about reducing the population and destroying the family.

Exactly. I sometimes get upset because I defend Trump against lies, not because I am a fan, but because I don't like lies. I don't like that it makes me look like a Trump fan.

I do think Trump was the best president since Reagan, not because he was a good president (I'd probably rate him D-), but because every other one was so absolutely horrible. Some basically had zero positives. We have literally gotten so you don't get to vote for someone you like. You just get to vote for the person you hate or disrespect the least. Now I don't know that we even get that opportunity because I no longer trust elections, especially national elections. At this point elections are a farce that is used to control the public so they don't go into a violent revolt.

I do wonder what happens when the majority realize that their vote doesn't matter and they are ruled by a lawless, tyrannical, bureaucratic hoarde.
