It depends on client. In damus the checkmark is grey if someone is verified. Purple if you follow them. You have a purple checkmark!

The thread is innocuous, although annoying. I’m just worried that bad actors could leverage that “feature” of Nostr for spam, malicious content or just plain trolling. Clients all need a “mute thread” option!
