it’s great to see competing video hosting platforms spring up as a response to censorship concerns.
however, i suspect it will be a long time before we see one with a comparable search engine to youtube. #[0]
youtube used to be the king of video search engines. one search would offer pages of results to browse.
now a search will give the top 20+ results and a flood of algorithmically curated “people also watched” nonsense.
their most powerful feature has almost lost all functionality.
