Wow, thanks! I think I fixed it on my side. I didn't use your service but thanks for making bitcoin lightning more accessible 💜

This guy presents an opinion on "a compile-time hierarchy of encapsulation that matches the domain model" and what are the appropriate ways of drawing the encapsulation boundaries in software today.

This is pretty deep. The talk is based on not-very-well-known details of the history of OOP paradigm and related programming languages. As well as the challenging problems that were originally successfully solved on the crappy computers of the 1960s.

Somehow reminds me of the completely unrelated but famous "billion dollar mistake" of the NULL pointer: the pattern, which was probably good for a single problem Hoare was working on at that time, but unfortunately became a mainstream solution for inappropriate problems.

I'm looking for one too.

Closest existing things are https://flare.pub + https://zap.stream + https://kinostr.com. But they are nothing like PeerTube. Also all of them seem to be closed source.

I'd be great to have something based on p2p-media-loader + nostr + blossom. But it shouldn't lock us on a single blossom server and shouldn't force us to update links to blossom servers in every single post we've made if we migrated to other blossom server(s). So I mean something different than this https://github.com/franzaps/n2m3u8#kind-1663-blossom-hls-playlists-draft

Similar to NIP-65, there could be a list of webtorrent trackers and blossom servers which could be preferably used for media lookups. And the nostr note could just store something like a magnet link.

Additionally, non-browser nostr clients could also do a real p2p with DHT (without webtorrent trackers and webrtc signaling servers).

Continuing the previous note, I wonder how many of us are aware of the Metamodern/Post-postmodern/Integral/etc. discourse here?

I find it interesting to see how some of the new big picture understanding models (aka meta-theories aka many other things), based on Ken Wilber's AQAL, are being born right now. That's the right epoch for that IMO.

Is there any particular idea in metamodernism on which all metamodernists can already agree today, what do you think?

What about popular Wilber's personality criticism: is it accurate?

“...technology is not the hard problem, and will not solve the hard problem; use it wisely and well, but remember that networks ultimately always succeed or not on relations between people (i.e., trust and normativity). This is a common error, especially given the rise of Web3 and its attempt to create so-called "trustless networks". These networks aren't trustless in anything other than a narrow and technical sense. Even Bitcoin and its solution to the Byzantine Generals Problem is only trustless at a single layer and tiny fraction of the full ontic scope of what makes the network function. There is still pervasive normativity throughout the full network that is Bitcoin itself, from the internet pipelines to the cold storage hardware, from the market exchanges to the sociopolitical environment that allows for the network.”

“To be sure, over the coming decades the world will be engaging in a massive, mostly-unaware assimilation of verticality project as it seeks to counter the flattening of postmodernism, high liberalism, and technological-driven anarchism, which it will do by trying to restore realist growth hierarchies socially, politically and educationally. It is my view that new verticalities can either become oppressive, as arguably are underway with today's reactionary neo-Feudalism, or emancipatory, aided by an integrative worldview that has a richly-differentiated ontology, axiology, and praxis dedicated to emancipatory individual development and social evolution.”

“As I read the news headlines every day, the strange feeling that keeps recurring is that none of it is news to me. So much pain, so much damage from narrow worldviews in power, so much chaos ... the only thing that represents any truly genuine novelty, is what humans with enough meta-reflexivity to still have total freedom of action will do next.”

Curious concentrated chunk of wisdom on issues and ideas that go way beyond challenges many of us are focused here. Not that I strongly agree on every single statement but many things resonate.

Statuses are most of the traffic. Unnecessarily large XML traffic. Thank God I didn't use any mobile with its expensive internet at that time.

Configuring encryption was a pain in the ass for end users for some reason, at least in the beginning.

Thanks for maintaining it! Hopefully Cloudflare doesn't mind blastr.

Just in case anyone was looking for a Cloudflare-free version of blastr—here's one 🦀

It does a bit more, for instance it can connect to onion relays.

Введение в интегральный AQAL-подход для разработки AI: психология развития, SD, разбор ошибок

https://codonaft.com/ru/integral-ai

Thanks! Yeah, Hetzner is a popular one, however it's not in a DMCA-ignored zone.

Turns out I incorrectly added a link to my post for context: https://codonaft.com/installing-alpine-linux-on-pain-in-the-ass-hosting-providers/

I heard some of such hosting providers suddenly terminate accounts for absurd reasons. Bogus DMCA notices in particular _might_ be a popular reason for that, at least on media servers.

I'm also looking for a VPS with these criteria because I'm tired of weird unreliable ways of installing OS on some of them. Hetzner doesn't seem to support boot from _custom_ ISO images, right? https://gist.github.com/c0m4r/e38d41d0e31f6adda4b4c5a88ba0a453#introduction

Is there any VPS hosting provider that you absolutely love?

I'm looking for one to host my media content. Please let me know if you're aware of any good hosting providers with:

- control panel with VNC client and custom ISO image boot

- hosted in a DMCA-ignored zone

- honest ≈1 Gbps outgoing speed

- ≥15 GiB SSD/NVMe disk space with a possibility to extend it later

- ≥1 GiB RAM

- monthly renewal with a possibility to switch to an annual renewal

- competitive price with no hidden additional charges (like for traffic overuse, etc.)

Yeah, I'm aware of S3 and all this, thanks :) S3/blossom/etc. storage providers in DMCA-free zones are also interesting, I wonder whether they even exist.

Thanks 🙏🏼

Looks like tagpacker is down again.

Maybe somebody is already working on a #nostr bookmark manager?

Would love to have one. I would contribute a migration from tagpacker into one.
