I don’t understand why you’re responding if you only know about Bitcoin in theory. Our business has been built on Bitcoin since 2014, back when we held Bitcoin on our company’s books, and no other business was doing that, at least not publicly. Through us, Bitcoiners found solutions to their problems when no one else was there to help. So don’t talk to me about theory when I’m running a real-world business with real-world challenges.
Thanks. We don't need a payment solution, we only need the part for converting Bitcoin to fiat, as we don’t want to do this through an exchange. Although it would be much easier and more cost-effective, we can’t risk our bank account. Unfortunately, we’re not in a Bitcoin-friendly environment.
That might work if you have a business selling eggs from your backyard chickens or doing handmade crafts in your spare time. Businesses need fiat currency to operate in today’s world, you can’t keep all the Bitcoin you receive. Not because I wouldn’t want that, but because you need to pay suppliers and taxes in fiat.
If you’re running a hobby business, you can do it the way you suggest. I’m looking for something else, as I mentioned in my post. We are an "actual Bitcoin business," and our needs go beyond small-scale solutions.

To say that the stakes are sky-high is an understatement. We’re not only faced with the threat of dictatorship and fascism, we are literally standing at a crossroads where we have to make a historic choice: we either vote for someone who proved to reform the state, bring integrity to the institutions, or we return to the dark times before 1989 when you were afraid to say anything publicly, out of fear that you would be detained, beaten or killed outright.
On the one hand, we have a bully who insults our allies, tours the far right parties in Europe and is showing more and more signs that he’ll rule the country as a dictator as the day passes, who only grew in popularity while being in the shadow of Russia (right now he is nastily invoking censorship from the social media platforms [b]HE HIMSELF[/b] deleted his accounts from - so yeah, that leech doesn’t deserve to be the president even in a homeowners’ association, let alone a country). His name is George Simion.
On the other hand, we have a former world Olympic in Math, who got involved in saving Bucharest’s historical heritage, founded the 1st reformist party after 1989 with people who haven’t been in politics before, who had no track record of corruption, and who, after being voted in office at the city hall of Bucharest, showed that he cares about the city. In his term heating pipes were fixed, public transit was improved for the 1st time in a lot of years, streets were fixed, parks were cleaned and, more importantly, he managed to get the city administration out of bankruptcy. His name is Nicușor Dan.

If you happen to have any Romanian colleagues, friends, family members or acquaintances, ask them how they feel about the current political situation. Let them know that you care about their country, that you find it very beautiful, and that you are worried about its European course. These people generally had a rough time accommodating outside their home country, so be grateful to them for this. Ask them kindly if they are going to vote, and regardless of the answer, tell them that this vote is important and to vote for Nicușor Dan for the president of Romania.
Simion and AUR might look involved in their life out there, but they’re really using them as a bargaining chip to not only get to power, but to also get their home country into a dictatorship (previous politicians never really had this vision, at least not so blatantly open). Right now, Simion is ignoring the communities of Romanian expats, running away from at least one meeting with them, in the UK. He’s also on a tour to meet various leaders of far-right Russia-affiliated forces, instead of attending the political debates even on TVs that showed him in a favorable light in the past. His colleagues are proposing to take away the homes of people who left Romania, in a blatant violation of private property.
Simion piggybacked the Romanian diaspora, just like he did with Acțiunea 2012 (an organization with the purpose of promoting the unity between Moldova and Romania, which only served as a reason for Russia to keep its troops in Transnistria all this time) back in the day. Right now, the race is tight. Simion is losing ground, yet he is still ahead of Dan in the polls by a few percent. The vote has already started in the diaspora and will last until tomorrow, Sunday 18th, at 9PM Romania time (yes, not local time, Romania time. Only today they’re closing at the local time). Right now there’s a huge uptick of votes compared to the 1st round of election two weeks ago, but, as I said, the race is tight. It might be a good sign, or a bad sign. We cannot let Simion win. A win for Simion will give a blow not just to us here in Romania, but to the whole of Europe and probably to NATO as well.

One of the darkest secrets in Big Tech history - a sinister experiment conducted by Facebook that silently manipulated the emotional states of 700,000 users.
And no one knew anything.
“There is a famous experiment conducted by Facebook, which I read about, carried out in 2012 and published in 2014, in which they announced that they managed to provoke mass emotional contagion on a large scale,” Lemov told Joe Rogan on his podcast.
She explained how Facebook altered users' news feeds without their consent.
“Every time you access the platform, you agree to be subjected to tests, including A/B tests. In this experiment, one group was exposed to negative emotional content, their feed being modified accordingly - measured by software that analyzed the words used.”
And the results were disturbing.
“It was found that the group exposed to negative content also reacted in a more negative way, as evidenced by their posts, likes, and comments.”
“In contrast, the group exposed to a positively modified news feed exhibited a statistically significant more optimistic emotional response—while the control group remained unchanged.”
In short, Facebook not only observed emotions but actively shaped them.
Without warning anyone.
The full extent of the experiment only became public two years later when researchers finally admitted what they had done.
A team led by scientist Adam Kramer manipulated the news feeds of 689,003 people - removing either all positive posts or all negative ones to analyze the emotional impact.
If in January 2012 your feed seemed inexplicably depressing or abnormally euphoric, you might have been part of that study - without knowing.
The results, published in a scientific journal, were presented in cold, technical language:
“When positive expressions were reduced, people posted fewer positive posts and more negative posts; when negative expressions were reduced, the opposite effect occurred,” the study stated.
Clear evidence that emotions are contagious - and that social media can be used as tools to induce mass emotional states.
The experiment lasted only a week, but for those caught in this algorithmic manipulation, the emotional effects could have persisted much longer.
But this is where things get truly disturbing.
Lemov revealed that once the experiment came to light, the reactions were swift - and in some cases, downright tragic.
“That’s why an intense ethical debate was triggered in 2014 when the study was published,” she said.
One user had a shocking reaction.
“On the Facebook page of the research group that conducted the experiment, at least one person wrote asking: ‘Could I ever find out if I was part of that experiment?’”
“Because during that time I ended up in the Emergency Room with suicidal intentions, and I want to know if the feed modification pushed me, perhaps, over that edge.”
But there was no way to find out.
“Of course, they could never know, it can’t be traced back, and other people had similar reactions.”
The scandal even triggered a government investigation in the UK, which examined whether the experiment should be sanctioned, given its global impact.
“There was an official investigation in the UK about the appropriateness of sanctions because international users were affected,” Lemov said.
However, in the end, there were no real consequences.
“After all, it doesn’t seem that any sanctions were applied to those involved. On the contrary, most were promoted.”
No one was held accountable. No warnings. No accountability.
And we are left with a pressing question: how many other experiments like this are currently being conducted - right under our noses?

The system is faltering, it has cracks and will be destroyed in the end by the will of the peoples who lived under dictatorship until not long ago. It is not surprising that the citizens of these countries have sharper senses, they are more sensitive to tyranny and injustice.
