Sometimes my dog just wants to go outside without a leash, but we're very close to a busy street, and yelling or a finger snap generally works too!
Glad he came back! My dog made a break for it while I was on vacation and my friend was watching her...in January, when it was below zero. No braincells whatsoever. Thankfully she had her collar on and a lady found her quickly.

Went to the doc for my yearly today, and she prescribed me one of the GPL-1 meds. Waiting to see if my insurance will cover it, but I'm hopeful. Too much chonk around my middle that I'm hoping to get rid of.
