Almost a year ago today and we’ll be expecting lambs again soon.
Hope this one goes a little better but we did our best to try and save this one including bottle feeding every few hours and keeping her in our warm basement.

They’re Hampshire and American Guinea Hog Crosses. My gut tells me a little more Hamp but they are a little slower to grow as well. Either way they’ve been great. Trying to grow them out a little longer this time around
Did a comparison on our pork chops vs. store bought.
No I’m not a butcher so my cuts are not great but was also from our first pig. Such a difference in the color, fat and flavor.

My husband and I finally finished our last stretch of perimeter fencing on our recently purchased property if 3.3 acres.
It was the first long stretch we ever did. The other sections were hired out or existing when we bought the property.
Not too bad for a couple in their 50s! 😁

Almost always 4 in the morning. Sometimes 5. Then I’ll often use 1-2 over some ground meat for dinner. Pretty much 90-95% carnivore so eggs are a staple.
