Did you know michael bolton is a major cinephile?
Compressed nitrogen and a mask are enough. This is just rubbing it in.
If you can still smile, don't kill yourself.
Block by block, #Bitcoin comprehends us before we comprehend it
What I find funny about folks continuously FUDing Bitcoin for payments/medium of exchange is that, even without high fees, why do you want to wait 5-10min (or longer of course) for that transaction to settle?
Lightning in most cases is still very, very good for day-to-day spending, and there are more wallet/app choices than ever. Just open some channels when fees are lower, and boom your set.
Why is this so hard? And again I’ll say my daily driver is nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 but DYOR
Cash, whether its P2P or not, should be a store of value first (for context, see https://www.etymonline.com/word/cache ), and sending a billion usd for a thousand usd is not that bad.
If the SoV gets in the way of MoE, the MoE will use a different layer. Lightning works well enough now, but we will need to do better.
So far we’ve copied most of Twitter. They have decades of learning what’s best for a microblogging product.
We’d be fools to ignore it.
But zaps are a new concept.
Presenting them as highlighted zaps like this, as envisioned by nostr:npub149p5act9a5qm9p47elp8w8h3wpwn2d7s2xecw2ygnrxqp4wgsklq9g722q , makes them stand out massively.
The UI follows what a new-comer would expect. Except zaps.
One of the distinct features of nostr stands out immediately igniting curiosity.
There will be many more opportunities like this, to represent a unique feature of nostr, not as a weird obscure thing to hide, but as something to be put front and center, to lean-in into what makes nostr special.

Free market innovation... let it sink in & embrace it.
I'll uhh might have a use for it, but I gotta know what the first few bytes of the wallet.dat file are first... 😉🤣
Metaphysically, can anything that's "current" really be called original, if it necessarily follows from the moment(s) before?
I think of creativity more like turning chaos into order. There's a physical cost to it, entropy, the 2nd law of thermodynamics, but human's are remarkably good at it over time, even if some of us only do it subconsciously 😉🤝
Sing? Write? Draw? Invent? Cook? Code?
Nothing?
The mouse is overrated. It would have been a great idea if humans had 3 hands, but alas... 🙄
Fear, imbecilic-takes, and doubt
"I'll see your step, and I'll raise with...this"
3.125 is the subsidy, not the reward
Ahhh, TIL what GoC abbreviates! 🤝
"a couple years old..." 🤭
Just popped onto X to check a feed that's stuck back there, website crashed.
What a waste of 30 seconds that was 😔
everyone who owns a business though...
Yeah I definitely notice things seemed sparse recently. Servers go down all the time but "client going down" is a much less common phrase 🤣
