GM ๐Ÿ˜€, What do you mean?

I don't think that's you, dude.

Def me

Not even your stapes bone?

I donโ€™t accept this from anyone - especially not you!

Itโ€™s true.

Iโ€™m with you brother, I sell music as itโ€™s as close as I can get.

Depends on what you define as creative. I thought the same because I thought creative ment making stuff or write things etc. But one day I realized I am creative in thinking and playing with words in jokes and make people look different at things.

So what is your creative side ๐Ÿ˜œ

Sing? Write? Draw? Invent? Cook? Code?

Nothing?

Itโ€™s all learned behavior. None of it original.

Metaphysically, can anything that's "current" really be called original, if it necessarily follows from the moment(s) before?

I think of creativity more like turning chaos into order. There's a physical cost to it, entropy, the 2nd law of thermodynamics, but human's are remarkably good at it over time, even if some of us only do it subconsciously ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿค

Hmm. I need to think on this more. When you say some people are good at it subconsciously, that just makes me think that the behavior is more automated / ingrained in their mind so they don't need to think about it. Kind of like the race car driver who feels one with the vehicle after going a bunch of laps around the track.

Interestingly, nurture plays a significant part in human development. Feral children who do not learn after being brought from the wild often don't survive for long. You could say they also exhibit no creativity whatsoever being feral.

But, it sure feels like there are some people who seem to tap into some other element other than learned behavior - they can take what they know and create something new and fascinating that does not necessarily resemble the old thing. Perhaps they are just better at accessing different parts of their brain / memory and combining different thoughts to form something that translates into a unique thing. There are definitely sparks of genius that move societies forward. No doubt some of that is attributed to just lots and lots of practice. Now I wonder if creativity is even a thing...

At least you have stem cells in your bones ๐Ÿ‘Œโ˜บ๏ธ

good artists copy, great artists steal.

Garbage in -> Garbage out.

Outputs are generated by inputs.

So instead on focusing on the output sucking, focus on standing on the shoulders of giants to see further and make better stuff.

But you already know tgis. So I guess keep rocking love snort.
