Clocks went back this morning. It's a mere 24° here in Coffs Harbour.

Better to be down here wishing you were up there, than up there wishing you were down here...

I can see it's going to take normies a very long time to adopt NOSTR.

Anyone know if Berkeley Database is still required for Bitcoin Core?

In 1896, Bridget Driscoll stepped off of a London curb and was struck and killed by a gas-powered Anglo-French model car driven by Arthur Edsall. While the car had a top speed of four miles per hour, neither Edsall nor Driscoll—who witnesses described as “bewildered” by the sight of the vehicle and frozen in place—were able to avoid the collision. Edsall was arrested, but the death was ruled an accident and he was not prosecuted. The coroner who examined Driscoll’s body is famously quoted as saying that he hoped “such a thing would never happen again.”

There will be many many more.

Most clients are pretty basic really. My guess is most were thrown together to get their developers in the game quickly. There are still a lot of quirks to NOSTR to get used to. I'm hoping we're going to see some pretty slick and well rounded options before too long.

There's an in-built problem when there is no dislike button. To express agreement I click like and move on. To express disagreement I have to form an argument and type it. It's not that people on Twitter are fundamentally disagreeable, it's that most of the discourse is structured around things people disagree with.

I'm still using Amethyst on mobile and Iris on PC.

What else is there I could be using?

Shithead just tried to scam me on Gumtree.

Gumtree was owned by Ebay and is now part of an even bigger classified ad empire.

Suppose I decide FREE Gumtree ads are no longer "safe"?

Qui bono?
