I had a wonky 20 hour layover in Helsinki over new years.

I reached out to someone in my Bitcoin network and they got me in touch with someone, who got me in touch with someone else, who offered to pick me up, show me around, and let me crash at their place.

We had an absolutely fantastic time last night and I got to experience a more local experience of new years in Helsinki. I just had an interesting conversation with an Australian guy who was in favor or linking IDs to all online interaction. Outside of that moment we were pretty well ideologically aligned on so I was surprised to hear him say that.

It turned out he just didn't believe the Internet could be orderly without corporate or government controls.

Purple pilling can run deep. He probably won't join nostr, but his perspective shifted somewhat once I explained voluntary WoT and told him about nostr.

What we are participating in here matters.
