#Zaprite has integrated WooCommerce!
There is really a lack of tools for easy integrating #bitcoin into online stores, here luckily comes one more ๐ง

Voltage/BTCPay Server combo is a lot cheaper and easy enough to configure. Or self-host BTCPay server, if you want.
And don't ask about Shopify. We're talking about independent, self-hosted stores on my timeline. Making the core of your business dependent of a 3rd-party service is a no-go in my book.

End of year side project cleaning.
I rigorously end unsuccessful side projects and save myself all the associated costs and effort. And it's not a drama or anything, it's all calculated and expected routine.
An old teacher once told me that there is the following difference in mentality between Germans and Asians when it comes to startups and IT projects:
The Germans plan and think about everything a thousand times before they set it in motion. They weigh up all the pros and cons and find a thousand reasons why a project would fail. And every 40 years they start a project that reasonably withstands the risk assessment.
Asians start 10 projects in a year without much consideration and are happy when a project emerges at the end of the year that is worth continuing.
I then decided that I would rather be of the latter kind. And that's what I've been doing for 25 years now.
This is a very big deal!

Ads, ads, ads ... that's the only way some companies can grow. Because at the end of each year there are fat shareholders screaming "more, more, more". That's basically all these fat fiats do.
Or just have some balls and say "That's none of your business".
Or "Can you explain the gap in filling this position?"

And I can't understand, how people are still surfing the web without a VPN. I mean, it's 2024 already. Everybody should be using a VPN since 4 years at least.
VPN belongs to every system, mobile, desktop. Split tunneling for games that need a fast ping and streaming services that block VPNs, if you need to.
It's unbelievable that just a few decades ago Der Spiegel was one of the media with the greatest integrity in DE.
But you could already tell since their anti-Muslim propaganda after 9/11 where they would develop.

Bitcoin Pioneers โ Your Time Is Over
I am increasingly reading criticisms from old Bitcoiners who complain that the scene, now that it is gaining more and more attention from the mainstream public, is being misrepresented by the wrong people. Specifically, by writers and influencers, not the old core developers and those who actually contributed to the development and the outcome we have today.
Honestly, I understand this, better than you may think.

Some saw it coming. The ETF issue separates the principled Bitcoiners from the unprincipled ones. Because of the latter, we could all lose.
There is this chicken and egg problem again. It's not that many don't follow the invitation; their accounts often become dormant over time because they don't feel adequately supported in the right environment.
I see that in myself as well. I have to literally convince myself to post something here. I post infrequently because I'm not inspired by this environment or another post.
Yes, they are also hard to digest from a cognitive point of view.
And then there are those ultra-long notes with lots of emojis, pics, links and hashtags that take the whole screen ...
i don't know, I don't follow them.
Correct, you are talking about the interaction between supply and demand. If an audience has a certain (limited) demand, it fulfills it somehow.
But if I have to wait for more sophisticated journalistic or technical posts, I'd rather go where they already exist.
The innocent, even if he has nothing in this world, has the best sleep every night.
The wrong-doer, even if he owns half of the world, has the most sophisticated security and the greatest power on earth, goes to sleep every night in fear.
This is a lesson from the Qur'an.
I knew this would come. Come, say it ... "be the change you want to see" ๐
Nostr, wen good content?
Oh come on you content people and newsletter authors, spare me your 'Year 2023 reviews'. Every year the same ritual.
Since I'm still here now, that means I've experienced the last year myself.
Every country is hypocritical, every country has its unbearable injustices. Those in the West are only in the spotlight so much right now because they have been dominant for the last 100 years, both militarily and culturally. But if it were another power or culture in its place, we would have the same problems with them.
You can't choose which country is the best to live in today. You can only choose whose injustices you are most capable of enduring (or ignoring). Everything else is an escape from reality.
I prefer kebab over hamburgers. Turkish textile products over German ones.
But generally you're right. Though there's nothing wrong in mixing cultures.
What's even more problematic is, how we adapt their value systems. That's the real cancer.
