For some, the constant praising of Bitcoin not only holds a religious significance (an inner taghut, so to speak), but also serves as a social loophole to give free rein to their Scrooge-McDuck-syndrome, namely to inform the world how much they love and enjoy swimming in money.

The future of fiat social media:

Soon we won't even need users on social media anymore. No signups, just read access. We'll consume what the algorithms present to us, which are then boosted by AI engagement bots. During the transition phase, maybe we may still click on the like button (so the AIs can learn). Later, not even that.

I once deleted all my prompts and chats in Bard (now Gemini). Gemini update came. Now they're all there again.

So much for Google's data protection and GDPR compliance.

All Nostr web clients need to improve their readability (general usability also). Right now the easiest client to read is Iris.

The Twitter feed is easier to read than all Nostr web clients. No surprise, they went through years of refinement.

It's mostly about the line heights, fonts and font sizes and the inner paddings of the container boxes. They all need to be perfectly balanced.

Now where's all that "stack Sats and stay humble" ... "HUMBLE" gone?

[must be them fiat bitcoiners again ...]

Happened to me the 2nd time.

Twenty years ago, I was deeply immersed in the web usability field. I wrote extensively about it, offered heuristic analyses, and so forth. I also criticized the emerging field of commercial usability consultants a lot because they never applied what they preached on their own websites or showed little empathetic abilities.

It's nice to see that nothing has changed in that regard to this day. The majority, especially the big names, are still charlatans who have zero understanding of usability and cannot implement it.

It's no wonder; they have renamed the field to UX, which, for me, stands for 'user exploitation.' Because they were never serious advocates for the users but willing assistants to the tech companies, solely focused on manipulating the user to fulfill their business goals.

That is a completely unethical business conduct from Netlify. Especially with customers on a free tier. They should either implement some automatic limits and shutdowns, early notifications or secure their servers against DDOS attacks. But w/o all that it's totally unacceptable.

Again a good analysis from 'Insanely Free'.

Our technological progress does not simply emerge as a logical consequence of natural development. The future is planned. By the wrong people with the wrong intentions.

We'll have to opt-out from more than just fiat money.

What I've noticed from several US films and what US citizens post on social media is you people seem to be really bad at aquatics.

I either see goldfish in small round glass vases with nothing in them except plastic toys. The same sparse aquarium landscapes without any appropriate botany can also be found in larger sizes.

Or aquariums with poor, unsuitable planting. Or aquariums with all sorts of mismatched underwater inhabitants, such as ornamental fish, eels, water turtles, and piranhas thrown in (ok, I'm exaggerating a bit here.).

Or if they contain real soil and plants, the water is always so dirty that you can hardly see the fish.

Seriously folks, you have to give these creatures their rights if you want to keep them. Educate yourselves better about their environmental conditions and ecosystems, invest the energy accordingly (aquatics is really not that simple), or just leave it altogether.

AI in email clients is complete nonsense.

"Join our community on Discord"

... is a request for me to immediately leave your website.

Hmm, I thought I was respectful. I only disagreed. Is disagreement disrespect?

I saw where this conversation started. It was the old "it's not a platform, it's a protocol" argument. And I said this minor technical detail is irrelevant.

Ok, but what has that got to do with what I said?

Wa alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi

I think that's a petty and nerdy correction. In the end, it's used for publishing notes, right? Unnecessary to always refer to this technical difference. It doesn't accomplish anything.
