Is it possible to be libertarian in countries that do not respect property tights? #asknostr
Dvms are #nostr secret sauce. Especially like the one post per follow dvm. Would be great if they replaced the lists drop-down on the home page on #amethyst
AI has officially crossed the uncanny valley. I can’t tell that this is fake. Looks like the world is going to need cryptographic identities sooner than later. https://v.nostr.build/86bFw4Yik6WSA1Bz.mp4
The fingers kinda look weird
Would also be great if more clients provided some recommendations on paid relays to choose.
These days I avoid installing any service directly on my vps. Always through docker because I'm that lazy when it comes to infrastructure.
Currently testing holesails through docker but with no luck yet.
This is interesting because on one hand we've got people on one side of the scaling debate advocating for the ability for everyone to have access to a utxo (full/shared) (onchain scaling) and on the other hand, those advocating for 2nd and 3rd layer solutions to achieve scalability.
If one is saying the only way to achieve mass usage of #bitcoin is through layer solutions (exchanges being one of them), then it would seem #Bitcoin in its current state is good enough since most people won't custody their coins themselves.
interesting observing the dichotomy between the two pov.
I love that more services are accepting cryptocurrencies as payments. Just renewed my real-debrid subscription and paid in #Bitcoin.
The worst part of this wallet is it doesn't work with VPN. Even my Fiat bank account works with a VPN
Nwc zaps on #Amethyst works but it seems I have to click the zap button twice to get the yellow indicator.
Most of which can be mitigated with multisig. Why people refuse to upgrade to multisig is beyond me.
My thoughts exactly. I always worry about the long term viability of hardware wallets. Multisig with passphrase combination seems like a good middle ground imo.
Sparrow wallet checksum UI very helpful in this regard.
I hate the term Generative AI. suitable replacement names
1. Super autosuggest
2. Super intellisense
3. Autosuggest on steroids.
Supposed lightning apps that both require you to sign up with an email and doesn't work without disabling VPN access is the worst of all kinds.
Seems there are layers to even custodial wallets.
Any payment app that requires disabling VPN access is a big red flag especially if it touths itself as a #bitcoin or lightning app
The best #Bitcoin desktop wallet hands down 🙌 imo
Having a good understanding of #bitcoin helps in preventing you from getting scammed.
Had a recent experience where I triggered a swap between lightning and liquid on boltz but the lightning payments kept timing out. Tried different lightning wallets but the same issue kept occuring so I figured the problem was from boltz
Tried reaching out to their discord channel for any help. Posted a message about the issue on the help channel and immediately a chat response responded. I didn't realize initially that this was spam. It directed me to a different discord server and put me on a queue. Then the agent began asking if I use Exodus wallet when I specifically mentioned the lightning transactions error.
It was at this point my suspicion was in full gear and I realized this was an attempted scam and deleted the server.
The knowledge spent learning about the technical nature of Bitcoin is never wasted.
A day later the swaps were resolved from boltz end.
Where can one find out more about subkeys?
Even though custodial services of Bitcoin aren't ideal, tools exist or can be built to minimize the centralization impact. The tools are open to anyone and not just special interest groups. Imagine having API access to your personal bank account. This is what's possible with custodial Bitcoin services but not broadly with traditional Fiat services.

I am up for algorithms built around zaps and wot. Really interesting to see how this would play out.
Peach seems fine. I mostly use eur and use revolut to swap .
