Debian Stable has been rock solid on my machines.. ..but i bet that is based on me sticking with X11.. ..i'm guessing Wayland support on Debian is really hit or miss with the current Bookworm packages.. ..Trixie is still about a year away from [stable] release, so a lot can change between now and then.. ..i'm sure they will figure it out

i think the qty of distributions is a bigger issue than the qty DE's or WM's, as far as linux fragmentation goes.. ..but i have a bit of a limited viewpoint based off of mainly focusing on Debian.. ..i'm sure the fragmentation could [easily] be an issue for other users

i basically just installed it.. ..so i have no real feedback about it yet, other than the built-in tiling seems much better than any of the Gnome tiling extensions.. ..i doubt it will drag me away from a tiling wm, but i'm excited for this as a new addition to the linux ecosystem.. ..more options = more freedom

i've read that it isn't a drop-in replacement, that's part of my hesitation.. ..i3 just works

i will try Sway some day (maybe Debian 13 release, or realistically Debian 14 release).. ..my stuff all works so well right now i don't [really] want to mess with it
