I think the US is much better positioned than the EU for the next decade, and certain regions of the US are among the best places in the world to live (and certain others among the worst)

you cut off the government teat, it will hit those receiving the largesse (and those who supply them)

~18-24 months to recover based on US Depression of 1920-21

"It is also widely accepted that agriculture exacted a steep price in human health, an idea that had its origin in separate research efforts decades ago. In the 1960s, studies of societies that pursued traditional ways of life showed that hunter-gatherers were not continually tormented by barely staying one step ahead of starvation. They were even considered the original affluent societies because of the plentiful food and leisure time they were said to possess (2). Archaeological skeletons examined in the 1970s and early 1980s were seen as indicating that health worsened, instead of improved, for early agriculturalists (3)."

Is it possible that these things were happening all the time before without media reports? Or do we have some rate of baseline where we can say things are definitely worse now?

I don't see how you can draw the line at anything other than "does not filter" vs "does filter" if you're trying to be consistent (which the law purportedly is)

Nope, but I think the CIA rationalizes that as providing funding for things that are ultimately good and patriotic. Few people are the villain in their own movie.

I think they're capable of all that and much besides. You seem to be trying to come up with a rationale that is compatible with the interests of ordinary Americans (at least through the CIA lens) while I think their use of any tool is likely much more based on naked self-interest and a desire to retain power

If you're selling relay hosting as a service, then yes

If your revenue stream is something else (or charitable), then no

A little googling... yes, that patent really is for aerial dispersal of material, yes the patent is really held by Evergreen Aviation, and yes Evergreen is a known CIA front. Huh. I wonder what the CIA wants to disperse into the atmosphere...
