Plato vs Aristotle

The type of person who imagines that they can design the world reasons from abstractions

The type of person who doesn't imagine that (often) reasons from concretes

(I'm not quite that high on Rand but I find the broad narrative insightful)

nice

not going to happen soon, but it's good to keep this idea alive for the next financial crisis

There were delousing chambers

(with glass windows that execution victims would probably smash to try and get fresh air)

they're stained blue from the cyanide in Zyklon B, unlike the supposed gas chamber (aka morgue which was converted into an air raid shelter)

Why else would his victory cause Union government employees to go to prison? Or profitable arrangements to end?

I've been brought fully to the "viruses don't exist" / "germs are not pathogens" side

If you look at "pox" illnesses there's tremendous overlap in the symptoms of monkeypox, chickenpox, smallpox, cowpox, measles, shingles, etc

If you look at the cold & flu type illnesses there's tremendous overlap in their symptoms as well.

I think all of the above are actually 1-2 illnesses (depending on whether the poxes can be meaningfully differentiated from the colds).

There might be multiple groups trying to poison each other (and the rest of us). But, we are exposed to these "pathogens" all the time, so if they were capable of replicating in a healthy person to the point of causing illness and death, we would already be dead.

I expect to get rich providing value for others rather than extracting it

When it comes to selection of currency and savings, my interest is in freedom and reliability rather than speculation and (effectively) gambling on the possibility of wild wealth

I hope to own day have a crypto with strong privacy protections (like zero-knowledge proofs) which is issued by a single entity which offers redemption for precious metals (and with many competing issuers offering their own such products)

why did this take 4 years

better late than never, I suppose

haha

I'm a data analyst in the corporate world

I might have had to use exponential functions once?

I have never had to do algebra or calculus in my professional life

However I have used statistics many times

I think for almost all jobs fairly basic arithmetic is all that's needed

US Constitution Article 1 Section 8

The Congress shall have Power . . . To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union

I use a similar service.

I haven't got any spam calls, but I have gotten some spam texts.

I made a political donation a few months back and I would guess my number was sold on

Madness.

Of course Bitcoin can go down in price

The downside is real

Nothing insane needs to happen

Just a big dip / crypto winter and then their fiat liabilities force liquidations at a big loss
