I can’t speak for everyone but I’m team #nocrickets because it doesn’t make sense to introduce them into my diet. The propaganda around the conversation is all based on pseudoscience. None of it seems real.
Crickets may not be awful but the ranchers affiliated with Beef Initiative have testimonials that continue to humble me as a bitcoiner. It feels disrespectful to know what they endure and cop out to eat crickets. I’d rather find ways to fight for/with them.
I didn’t watch the video but I know regenerative farming is incredibly disruptive to corporate farming infrastructure so farmers not with the program are being pressured to follow the instituted model.
They’re not messing with all the food. Just the food they control. Buying meat directly from grass farmers with Grassfed & finished livestock settles the worry. By supporting these type of farmers you’re helping protect the land.
Have you heard of the Beef Initiative? Texas Slim does an amazing job creating an atmosphere to meet ranchers and learn about this stuff.
