I am still greatly concerned about bitkey as two of the three keys are generated using secret closed-source methods.

Someone please convince bitkey to fully open source their code πŸ™

I own three of these wallets so I am not just a random person with make believe concerns.

Maybe you could use this to develop a movie.

The idea would be to share with people who have always been free the concept: It might be difficult, like explaining colors to a blind person, but I think current films have failed to drive the idea strong enough.

Freedom is priceless.

I have been trying to convince some cash-only vendors I pass by everyday to use Square.

They are extremely resistant.

What am I doing wrong?

Just remember to full cycle it every now and then πŸ‘

It isn't a film but lookup the bitcoin museum 🫢

The worst part is they claim to be open source and pointed me over to their github which doesn't actually have any information or details on the source of entropy as it is (apparently) based entirely on another organization's hardware. Extremely concerning, considering other wallets both (A) fully opensourced their entropy sources and (B) allow you to choose your own keys:

I am not sure I could ever use Bitkey, considering the key generation methods are completely secret and there is no mechanism for us to choose our own keys (derived from another trusted source).

Disclaimer: I own a stack of these that I purchased at full price to test them out.

So it looks like the code is referring to a hardware rng (referred to as "TRNG").

I guess we have to blindly trust it's secure.

I never got a notification for this so I missed it.

Thank you, looking into it πŸ‘

Is this the app you are using??

It says "your full node stats on your screen"

What if my node is just a Core node 😭?

100/100

You can buy bitcoin using cashapp, it takes seconds now!!

Thank you for sharing, I also purchased $100

Nearly all the projects I touch, benefit others, but usually not myself.

I see more value in helping communities over self.

Was it sealed? Mine were not sealed and they offered to replace them.

πŸ”₯

Hoping to see a product that everyday people can purchase that can help distribute blocks and mine as well.

Do you have a suggestion for this issue?

Many cities I travel to for work and where I live, they offer cellular over "city-wide wifi". Would this be a potential solution?

I also heard T-Mobile will be using Starlink -- but if I understand it correctly, their towers will be linking to Starlink so the phone-tower connection will still be based off current infrastructure -- and thus will not be any more anonymizing.
