Not very free at all. The same system that put you in is still the same system ruling your life. My prosecutor still threatens to hit me with new indictments. It was a #MeToo post but they want to claim aggravated identity theft. You’re not free until you leave the US.

There was a time I was so terribly sick with a chronic disease that I was convinced my time on this earth was very short. I was in my mid to late 40's and not ready to die. It was life changing. Priorities shift away from materialism. Although our circumstances were different, I understand being granted a 2nd chance. No I don't think the feeling you described goes away for long. Enjoy freedom fren.

It's a public service for all of us, that when a judge abuses somebody's freedom while protected by law, they don't just hide away from their victims without facing the consequences.

I was also targeted and falsely charged and incarcerated. I wept when I touched a living plant for the first time in almost two years.
We are relatively free now, but those same dark forces want to chain us all.
Falsely charged as well, convicted for a #MeToo post, revoked and incarcerated for refusing to delete the entire website that the post was on, and once in, sent to the SHU at FDC Houston for 10 days for refusing housing and again for 45 days by Elizabeth Holmes because I wanted to protest our conditions at FPC Bryan (she claimed I threatened her). Released in April. I barely remember it. Dark forces won’t keep you down. You’ll forget it too.
It will take a few years but eventually will go away.
While dark, this seems more and more true, not just for Ross, but everyone in currently more-or-less free countries. This needs to be fought on every level possible - privacy tech, lobbying, political parties where applicable (won't work in US), and most of all informing people who don't know - mainstream media rarely if ever does. For example, I doubt 10% of people here in EU know about Chat Control 2.0 or the other surveillance/censorship stuff in the pipeline, despite the former being discussed and almost implemented several times, for years.
I don't know what's holding people up. Risk? There are many essentially risk-free things to do. Time? It doesn't have to take any considerable amount. Money? 0.1% of a whale's stack, or 0.1% of several millions of regular people's should do quite a lot.
When I first loaded this comment from Ross the app only showed an npub and no image, I was thinking it was a random pleb like me. We are all free thanks to Bitcoin.

I can't speak from experience per se, but it seems like theoretically the rate at which you experience these moments will reduce asymptotically towards 0 over the course of the rest of your life.
