I feel that too. I go back and forth with leaving. Most of the people I am close with are on there so it makes it easy to connect, and I know they appreciate it. I definitely cut my time on the platform back, but idk if I should leave altogether. I took a year and a half away and I think I enjoyed myself more…
I am also debating if I want to leave Instagram or not
Thank you! Hopefully it turns into the adventure part soon, so far it’s been the work part lol 😝
Hey there. Sailing update for anyone interested.
We love our boat, Silver Heels; she has had a lifetime before us and will have another lifetime after us. We chose her because we know she has the capability to take us anywhere in the world we are crazy enough to go, as long as we take care of her. Built in 1979, we knew there would be some repairs and renovations to do, accompanied with a daunting, yet motivating learning curve. Our first season, as expected, but not as hoped, involved more time getting to know the boat than actual sailing.
So far we have repaired and varnished the teak, replaced the dinghy and buoys, varnished the tiller, cleaned and re painted the hull with anti fouling, inventoried and replaced internal equipment, upgraded some navigational and safety equipment, and much more.
Our biggest challenge has been dealing with the original Pisces 40 diesel engine. On the way back from an outing, our exhaust riser decided to give way due to high amounts of corrosion in the cast iron threads. The water exhaust no longer had an exit and slowly began filling the bilge until we noticed. Luckily, we were already in the marina and could kill the engine with relative safety.
We’ve since fixed the exhaust, but in the meantime, our starter motor went kaput. En español, “No funciona”. It is now becoming clear that this engine will remain temperamental for the foreseeable future, and the prospect of a shiny new engine grows more appealing by the day.
Add in learning a new language, navigating jurisdictional bureaucracies, and working full time jobs; it is easy to get restless at times, but we trust with some patience, we’ll be out cruising on the deep blue. 🌊

“Risk takers” tsk tsk tsk, more of a risk to not bet on yourself
When you run through all your money to go after your passions, it becomes a lot easier to say no to opportunities unfit for you and find a new path forward.
You’re comfortable and familiar with the rebuild, and you trust yourself to start over and succeed because you’ve been here before.
Shout out to all you risk takers. Keep fucking going. 🫂👊

Everything is divine
First half of life is dedicated to the ego, adding to yourself and making yourself matter, but nothing really matters.
“Mattering” is a human construct born out of a need that we have to have deities and things like that.
EVERYTHING IS DEVINE
You can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.
Just be - thank you for your presence.

If I respond to this will I be a security threat?
I innately don’t have any interest in learning about money or banking systems, and in order to be “responsible” with my money the popular options are to either pay someone to take care of it for me or spend several hours a day researching just so I can keep (not even save) what I earn.
The current financial system is so rigged and complex that you have to invest all your money into stocks to hopefully keep all your purchasing power.
I want to earn my money and keep it. #bitcoin allows me to do this.
I respect my ranking.👩✈️
