I haven’t seen your other replies but I’ll go look now. I see that they both depend on public/private key pairs and I imagine relays are similar to nodes but is Bitcoin code somehow at the base of Nostr?

Today I went on a long boat ride with a bunch of people from the #worldschooling hub here in Vietnam 🇻🇳

Because I gave a talk about #bitcoin to the kids recently, a few parents wanted to ask me about it.

Questions were mostly among the typical pre-coiner hesitations. Nothing earth-shattering.

What DID surprise me was how little confusion there was about shitcoins.

They all got it.

Talking about bitcoin as non-hierarchical money profoundly resonated.

Is there a good resource that describes the relationship between Nostr and Bitcoin? How is it a layer on top?

Holy smokes! So this one was just a local top. #[3] , we need tools to draw triangles and figure out zappanachi patterns on the zap charts to predict zap-time highs and lows for arbitrage purposes.

Bang on! I got my eye on higher consciousness communities… yoga, healing, breath-workers, all forms of spirituality and seekers of truth. But we have to a new language to orange pill these groups. Money is a hard starting point for many. I’ve been loving all of Nazomi Hayase’s work.. she seem to have a lot of the right language for this group.

Keep in mind there is no one “global feed” because nostr is decentralized. The global feed is actually *per-relay*. So yes if you use the global feed on P2W (pay-to-write) relays, it will be much cleaner. Note that P2W relays are still F2R (free-to-read), at least for now. So if your client has an option to select whether or not to read the global feed from each relay you are connected to, you can disable that for F2W relays and enable it for P2W relays, even if you don't pay for them (F2R).

I have a mix of paid and free relays on Damus. Global is still all spam.
