Is it possible to chase a lesson? Or isn’t it rather the case that you make mistakes along the way, and then see the value of the lesson from hindsight?
“The warmth of collectivism”
No thanks
More baked spaghetti squash laid up. One more session to go. The more food I grow and preserve the more I understand why people remain on the teat of big farm and big food. It’s time consuming and quite boring work, but I’d rather learn these skills now rather than in a pinch. Tomorrow, it’s pressure canning potatoes. At least I have hours of awesome podcast and audio book content to listen to while I’m at it. Today’s thanks for that goes to The nostr:npub1ltz38gwwmmg740r5qlqjn96gth5thv5wmhkwlgqks9lu3485q7jsy6k4fh Podcast. Boosts incoming.

Thanks so much for the shout out! And love that it’s providing value
🙏🏻
Thanks for tuning in. Interestingly just after that episode, I probably had my biggest lesson of the lot: I was chasing the algo at a cost that was too high (financially and intellectually)
I let go my producer and editor to take in on myself, removing opex, and opening up the opportunity to really make it work solo
Nostr is the key piece I didn’t truly get a year ago
Yes it’s small right now, but as an investor interested in sound capital allocation, if there’s no revenue requirement right now, my expose yourself to the counter/party risk of legacy socials?
I haven’t posted on anything other than RSS and Nostr since

Yeah could well be the case, hence interested to actually dig into it and find out
Lol
For sure there is... Someone who makes more from the course than the trading strategy!
Yeah that would mean buying their equity
I was thinking to try it myself
Stablecoins And Lightning - Jesse Shrader (JWP 109)
npub18yvpnchj7yaepjk8yz2pn66hfmmup505aqvx0lpyc3aree0g5fyq8clpz3
To kick off the New Year in style, I have an episode of the highest quality for you, with Jesse Shrader. If you ever wonder "what is actually being built on top of Bitcoin?" then look no further. I asked Jesse:
"Why would it be useful to have Stablecoins on the Lightning Network?"
"If Bitcoin is like Gold, do you think the lightning network is like using Bronze?"
"How many Lightning nodes exist?"
"How many Lightning channels exist?"
"What kind of volume can the Lightning Network do?"
"Are you doing a financing round?"
"How does Amboss make money?"
"Did you ever expect to be in the position you're in today?"
If you want to give value-4-value:
Via Fountain: boosts and all streams are split 50% with the guest
Via Nostr: zaps always welcome
Thank you
Best,
Jake

Is the Bear Market over?
Hopefully! 🙏
I’ve got a Chanel Flap Bag promised to the wife and organic grass fed beef to buy every day and 10,000 piece Lego I promised my son for Xmas - last year! The poor kid had to make his own Lego with a 3D printer we dumpster dove for.
#sad
A 26% gain from last cycles top in 2021 to 2026 today is lame AF! (69k-87k)
That was ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTEEN days ago kids…
N-G-U! N-G-U! N-G-U!

Always so bearish
Anyone know of someone actually making a success of covered call options trading with Bitcoin?
Happy new year contra!
Interesting that in a free market and libertarian oriented protocol for communications, which ties an identity to a user in a positively compounding manner, the output is a “public good”, which in many ways is a socialist concept
The ultimate incarnation of private property rights in the digital world, Bitcoin and Nostr, enables a public good, akin to a genuine town square
Being true to your word has never been more important
Whilst owning mistakes is not only allowed, but encouraged, amid raging debate, all with free speech at the core
Of you don’t let them say what they want to say, expect to get punched
Ep will be out in a couple of weeks time
I’ll post it here on Nostr
Next year I am so pumped to continue my podcast journey
In 12 months of work with the latest iteration so much has been learnt
108 episodes
Old friends revisited
New friends made
An investment in intellectual capital if ever there was one, I am so fortunate to have all these people willing to share their deepest lessons with me
Thank you to all the guests
Thank you to all the listeners
It’s already been an amazing experience, one which I am confident will continue, for many years yet
I’ve tested some things
I’ve failed
I’ve got back on with it
We are the creators of our own reality
It’s up to us
What future do you want? What future do you want for your kids? What is it that really gets you out of bed in the morning?
So cheers to you all
Cheers to my wife
Cheers to my kids
What an experience life is
Happy New Year!
💪🏻👏🙏🏻
“Permissionless” doesn’t mean much, until it does
Happy New year sir!

I love the idea of building on top of open source AI models

This is a good example of that

Now you don't have to choose. Kimi K2 just launched in Maple AI. You get open reasoning that beats GPT-5 & Claude Sonnet 4.5 on key benchmarks, and end-to-end encryption so your data stays under your control.
