A 5 hour drive to the Constitution (or Nutmeg) state. Drove just in time for a snow storm (which we like). But yeah familiar trip. Just more productive then Zooming it for the next 3 weeks.

I have some unexpected biz travel for a few days. Took #2 with me and leaning on a trusted house sitter to care for the pup. #1 doesn't need much watching.

I should be back to home base by Friday.

Will be bookmarking notes until then for catching up over the weekend. We all know how fast things fly on #notr w/you lot, doing in a day what the rest of the world takes a week to get done.

Something I heard this week, I thought worth sharing. Paraphrased "you'll find personal growth when you become comfortable being uncomfortable". ~Some salesy type dude in a vendor meeting on Wednesday.

A couple different ways to interpret that. What do you make of it?

#BTC is now 15 y/o. When I was 15, I was wrestling, chest was swole, putting on some muscle mass, my voice had a lil more base. Thought I could flex on my pop's when he was trying to discipline me.

Yeah, I was wrong about that. It was going to take a few more years when I could take him, but by that point, I had so much respect for him, that I no longer had that desire.

So yeah, we need to give that orange protocol a few more years so that it can really be ready for that "then they fight us" stage.

I've done a little of most (as an amateur and pro) at different points in my life. What they all share in common is discipline and commitment. If you're on the mat or the pumpatorium at 5am, You're probably not out drinking late the night before and You're probably being mindful of what you put in your body.

Conditioning is a powerful concept especially when it involves habits. Be mindful of this as you go about your day. I take an aspirin a day....why?

I have my morning coffee after my morning steps...why?

I do my morning pushups before I brush my teeth...why?

Toss away the ones that don't pass the smell test and keep the ones that you can rationalize.

~Some wise guy/gal that's done a thing or two and seen a thing a two. Oh, probably old AF too.
