My daughter's friend described my garden as a 'playground jungle' quite pleased with that description š

#MattPowers reading from his new book Regenerative Soil Microscopy. The more I learn about soil from Matt the more I realise we know basically no nothing at all š¤£
He's got a new course coming up this month covering all the stuff in the book with group learning. It's going to be epic just still saving the pennies for it all! Hope to see some of you on it in the future.

Its easy to do though both very interesting plants. Just wish I could grow some hostilis here š
It's mimosa pudica š mimosa hostilis makes you sensitive š
I am generally offended by the idea I have to clean things too. It takes up valuable sleeping time.
The world is crazy, so if they think you are crazy it cancels out and you must be the sensible one š§
Unfortunately I have never made a witch hazel tincture. I dont even have a witch hazel tree here, had one at a customers house but it wasn't very happy and died in a drought. They are quite slow growing and therefore rather expensive trees, which is why it wasn't replaced.
If you look at pfaf there is medicinal information about it not really a recipe but if you can't find anything more useful than that I would do something similar to the mahonia strip some bark off and put it in some vodka.
https://pfaf.org/user/Plant.aspx?LatinName=Hamamelis+virginiana
I couldn't not agree more and there is usually more than you realise! Sometimes using Pfaf.org its harder to find a plant that doesn't have a niche medicinal use!
Was asked to prune a Mahonia (Oregon grape) earlier in the week so it's time to make some #berberine tincture. It tastes like total crap but like most bitter things its very good for your liver. š
You want to snap the twig and extract the cambian later below the bark. Pop it in some vodka or in this case I am using polish spirit leave it for month or so to extract and your good to go. It will stain everything more yellow than Coldplay so just be aware of that too.
You can get berberine from Berberis and other plants too but I find it much easier to get the berberine rich part out of a mahonia.

Hopefully I can fund some BBQs round here from selling the biochar :)
It rained twice when it was burning and the #biochar still turned out excellent š. Could of kept it going but thats plenty to keep me busy with for now. Tempted to rivet a box on the end so I can cook my lunch at the same time š

Coffee and nunchucks easily, as you didn't specify the amount I am getting in your hypothetical scenario š
Going to have to give it another crack ( bad pun intended) with your recipe never seemed to get it to thicken properly when I tried it before. Thanks
I just used an old oil drum I "liberated" at some point. It's ugly but it works š¤£

Nice one,š might try to start up some kind of Biochar BBQ round here, have a kiln running while we cook on another. People can bring there waste wood for BBQ and hopefully the biochar can pay for the food :D
Might be next year the way this summer is going though!
Good idea hopefully they can set up an avatar too. Bit odd they set up a background but no avatar.
Yes!!!
I find CBD is a good compromise, seems to do almost nothing until you stop taking it š
