As a small child in the early 80's, I remember the lifts in a department store in Adelaide. My mum would take us into town shopping and I'm sure she just went to this store so we could go in the lifts. They were old and ornate, with an old fella operating them. All the buttons and levers were polished brass, with a trellis style brass concertina cage they would pull shut. You could see everything through it as it moved. The old fellas would chat to us while manipulating the controls, shutting the gate and riding up and down, it was great fun.
It felt special, personal and things like that just aren't around anymore. Anyone else have any memories like that?

I used think when I was really small when people got to a certain age (around 80-90 years old) parts of people's bodies would just sort of get old and fall off and that is why you shouldn't point/stare at them and also why 'they don't want to talk about it'.
One day I realised there wasn't so many of these old people missing limbs, eyes etc around anymore and they were of course the last of the WW1 veterans.
They don't exist anymore and neither do old school yokels. When I was young there was a man in our village who had smelt of cigarettes and bacon and had a belt for a rope. My family took him to the hospital because he was bitten by a rat, he went in with black hair and came out with grey because he was so dirty 🤣
I never quite got how you could engineer a plant to be resistant to a herbicide like glyphosate. Seems no explained this important piece of the puzzle to me.
Turns out it's just has a higher tolerance to fusarium (like that fusarium wilt that can affect your seedlings). Glyphosate kills the 'good guys' protecting the plant and encourages the 'bad guys' and was patented as a biocide before being used as a herbicide.
So once you consider what they tell you in this podcast you can work out why 'round up ready crops' are so bad for you.
You will be ingesting a plant full of fusarium which are good at making mycotoxins which are really bad for you, sprayed with glyphosate which will be killing the good bacteria like bacillus in your gut which are stop the fusarium getting out of control.

I am in the U.K so Europe. There are some people in the U.K and Ireland here but it's no so many in the grand scheme of things.
Never heard of the powder form. Grains are easy and multiply so you can sell/gift them to others too which can act as a good insurance policy in case something goes wrong with yours.... Would be happy to send anyone on nostr some but most of you are in the wrong the continent.
It's labs and yeast so make use of in your gardens too.

Could be woodlice, especially if you are mulching them with woodchip. Like you I have to pick them early because they get to them first. They ripen faster in a bag with some bananas as they give off a lot of ethylene gas as they age.
That rot should be helped with more calcium. Just leave some egg shells in vinegar for a few weeks dilute it 1 part per 1000 and spray it on..... As that takes a few weeks to prepare perhaps trying adding a couple of tablespoons of natural yogurt/ kefir /sauerkraut juice to your watering can next time you water. Lactobacillus usually counteracts a lot of rot issues.
