People could make something like that but you need workers, and you need people who are willing to put in more than their share of effort (ideally everyone, so you have plenty of surplus w/ no dead weight).
The people who are talented, driven, and successful enough to do this alone and sustain a mini culture are rewarded in other, more lucrative careers anyways. THis is cool what the guy is doing but he’s a dead end at 23 yo, this is interesting to see but utterly unsustainable in the long term, and has all the hallmarks of a hippie phase he will abandon as he ages. Just ask anyone from the 70’s communes how they like living in a teepee in their 80’s
This is cute and all but it’s not a life. This guy will do it for a few years, then move on to more modern living arrangements when he can’t do a PT test every time he wants to get into his hay loft. Age and health will be his downfall, he’s malnourished and burning up his health right now without knowing it, trading off the vigor of youth.
Before you know it he’s bald at 28 and had a bunch of joint problems from living like a field rabbit for 5 years straight
