Good morning Jeff βοΈπ«βοΈ is this a real sunrise? It looks so amazing
I pay for the work and the service. It goes without saying that you pay for a service you use. There is work behind. I value this work. That's only fair. And I fully understand that the Damus team and nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s need some predictability in terms of funding, I'm paying for the Damus product that gives me access to a daily entertainment. A number and a badge may be part of that entertainment, but by no means the reason for my subscription
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to accompany the three of them very closely. Media and new technologies were often the topic. We didn't have a tv for many years. Computers were always a point of discussion. We were always negotiating new arrangements. My youngest was interested in programming from an early age. Not an easy topic
Privilege. Yes, I like that. It's a privilege and an honor to have children and to accompany them as they grow
Two small, sticky hands hold my face and serious green eyes look at me: Mommy, I love you so much
Such moments alone are worth everything
Awwww π₯Ήπ« I can hear the soft voice
Yes, being tired with children is a different dimension π But so is love and happiness
Being a parent is great! But also challenging. Frightening. Tiring. No one has ever pushed me to my limits with such regularity as my kids. What have I not learned. Over the years, I have dealt with topics that I never even thought about before (starting with the Archaeopteryx, to classifying all insects, no not arachnids, they were never very popular, to the way of life of knights, pirates and Vikings). I learned to lose in all board and card games (and still do today). I learned to read aloud (and fell in love with children's literatureπ₯Ή). I helped create Lego and Playmobil worlds and had painful moments walking through the kid's rooms when I kept missing one of the tiny pieces. I've trembled at hospital beds (just yesterday and again today). Endured three school careers with the kids. Welcomed friends, accompanied friendships. Dried tears. Overcoming my two left hands while doing handicrafts...
I could go on and on.
Yes, having kids is great.
Haha π I can imagine that. And I have three. But you know what? They get two things in particular from all that trial and error and experimentation: Self-confidence and a super body image. They know their limits. They've also learned a lot. Welcome to the fun world with kids π€πΌπ₯³
