Eu recomendo 10, para distribuir bem seus eventos. Mas eu espero que no futuro a quantidade de relays não seja tão relevante pq os eventos serão retransmitidos pela maioria. Apenas em casos específicos pessoas terão que usar relays específicos.

Nice. We can easily add an extra field in the user metadata and include the nostr:event with the nip95 content. Clients that support it wouldn't need to load the http content..

It could be confusing though to change your profile in a client that doesn't support nip95 and have the url link point to a different image than the nostr:event field.

In NIP95, images come from relays and can be verified to not have changed since the author posted.

So now everyone needs to build in custom filtering just because you want to do something stupid?

i understand, but if support is to be gained, it would be nice to know who is already supporting or plans to support this NIP. from where im standing, i haven't seen anyone wanting to support it. therefore, i would think i wouldn't want this because all relays will block my images. if that's not the case, we need to know that.

I don't know how, I was thinking more like about people accepting zaps for selling goods and services without leaving their clients, as #[0] suggested once, or crowdfunding things, or offering to do things in exchange for zaps, I don't know.

It could get even more interesting if clients dedicated to other kinds of content used zaps too. It's a powerful concept.

The relays will be chosen according to the user's interests. You'll want to be on the relay of your friends or anyone looking for information.

There will also be relays of specific themes. I quickly see a relay just about football emerging, news will probably be another topic that will soon emerge. and of course we can't forget the sex and dating relay (Tinder).

I've only been around for 5 or 6 weeks but this is something that I've always foreseen as happening. Clients are the super tool here. Relays are just dumb backends that the average user doesn't care about. They are extremely important, but the average person on the street does not care about that. Because of this, all major clients will run relays and they'll bootstrap their users into use them. We'll go down the centralization path a little bit, but users will have the choice to use other big and popular relays. I do hope that we don't go full down this path. It's still too early to tell. So, I guess the question remains: how do we make relays more important to users? How do we make relay selection important? Should it be part of every client's onboarding process? Do we advocate for that? If a priv/pub key signs in and doesn't have any relays attached to their profile, then display the relay onboarding process? This still leads to clients choosing a default relay list and most users will never go back and update those again because it's not something we've had to do in the last 20 years of social networking. It will take a long time to change that mentality.

I really don't know what to do here about my profile being updated without me updating it. I assume my key is burnt somehow? Or is it some client that did something?

My private key was generated and used on astral.ninja for a day, entered into and used on damus.io/web for less than 10 minutes, entered into Amethyst and Daisy. Everything else has been via the nos2x extension.

I know this most likely doesn't mean anything, but the very first day that my LN address was updated was the same day that I tried Amethyst for the very first time, downloading the APK from Vitor's GitHub. I used a burner account at first then switched to my main account after a while.

Looking at the original relays that were seeing updates to my profile metadata, they weren't relays that I used. This leads me to believe the key is burnt?

I have over 3K followers and have worked really hard at that. I would have to have to start over. I really don't want to do that. It would essentially erase the last 6 weeks of doing nothing but living, breathing, and sleeping my desktop and phone.
