Node firmware makes sense to me, I run the most recent version of umbrel and core
Since Bitcoin doesn’t hard fork does this really matter? The same firmware should work 3 years ago and this year on the Bitcoin network. Honest question since I haven’t updated firmware in probably 6 months plus
Hahah thanks. Live music, IPAs and a little weed is the key to recovery for me

Make it a thing! Lightning spreads fast when people see the power of it. If the store is fine not waiting for 6 confirmations then that’s fine too but it’s more of a risk for them not the one sending it
Set it to 1 sat/vbyte and forget it spend less than a dollar on fees. True that it’s definitely a misconception
I’ll never make a lightning transaction over a few hundred dollars anyway due to my channel capacity. Everything larger is onchain
L1 is Bitcoin correct. Bitcoin is a perfect unit of account and store of value but in a retail store setting I’m not waiting an hour to settle with a coffee shop
You’re never supposed to use a node if it hasn’t synced fully I’m sorry that happened but that’s a pretty standard thing
See this is fine. Lightning is a tool, use it as you wish and at the length you wish. But just straight up not using it is what baffles me. I like receive on chain to never touch, the only time I touch my on-chain is to open up new channels to spend with.
