In fairness I'm more depressed by the $20 in Second Life linden dollars I was going to get around to buying bitcoin with in 2011, which would have been a few hundred BTC at the time.
It's still on Second Life.
Hey, the worst part is, I was entitled to unemployment as my employer was in the process of moving, but nobody taught me to be a government mooch.
What OS you run isn't going to matter when it comes to your carrier's ability to track your location -- they can do that on completely dumb phones as it is a function of radio triangulation. The point of Graphene is to prevent you from leaking data to Google, and to prevent apps from leaking data from one app to another, more than anything.
As for multiple SIM's, someone else will speak better to that than I can. Presumably you can choose which you're using when making calls (and using data) but I don't have direct experience there. The SIM is basically your credentials to access each network, so managing them is going to be how you manage what carriers get.
That said it's not so much the price as it is the number of sats I'm after 😉
As for price though I like practicing a little TA just to juice the amount of sats I get with my regular buys, as I do fancy myself an armchair macro analyst and dabble with things like ichimoku clouds and a few other indicators. Always just around pricing limit orders and a narrow time band, but it helps to keep the zap wallet topped up.
Still leaning on Strike to implement bracket orders so I can have some real fun there but I suspect it's a lot to ask and benefits relatively few customers.
Well, don't mistake me for someone who kept all or even most of that orginal buy. Or who started buying regularly til last year.
Ask me about that time I spent $100k on a month of rent lol.
I dunked my limit order right in that wick down. Not like it was much anyway but got a few more sats for the zap wallet.
Not quite -- he likes to talk a tough game but he's right in with the lot of the corruption
Caesar marched his armies on Rome; Trump could flood America with inmates.
Might be worth floating as an option for what he'll do if and only if Vance loses in 2028. Just to avoid footgunning the party too much.
Maybe with some exceptions for truly dangerous people.
Maybe.
oh now THAT sounds like an interesting precedent....
but would nostr:npub1v7k63c6y2vktlqhsuupywt3yc7ykursujc34at964f9cv9s9y9csjutfk0 support our pardon?!
If I were Trump I'd pardon everyone convicted by SDNY on principal.
The extent to which it was unfair and didn't follow its own rules is particularly egregious with Samourai. I know it's a legend and not established history, but it does feel like a time when King Alfred's hanging of the judges to restore justice is an event worthy of consideration. Especially with regard to SDNY.
Ross did already do 10 years seems like part of that emotional calculus. And Samourai did also do a little nose thumbing with tweets welcoming Russian oligarchs.
Just to play devil's advocate. They should all be free and made whole regarding any coins or other expenses they incurred.
GM.
Been doing a lot of chatting with Copilot this morning at work.
Turns out that for the truly quantum paranoid, unless you need Taproot functionality, you should be aware that you can avoid all attack vectors with a P2WSH address that uses a hash only script. Because these scripts never use any CHECKSIG style verification, there is never the exposure of a pubkey, even while the transaction is in the mempool, making this 100% safe against Shor's algorithm.
Not that I'm suggesting anyone do this because quantum is FUD and these transactions are heavier, and thus, have more fees.
But if you're panicked, it's an option.
Bitcoin doesn't need to be melted and analyzed to be verified.
Nor does it need a cargo ship or plane to move internationally.
Nor is it limited to being held in one location at a time by whoever holds physical control of that location.
If the computers go away, I don't want gold or bitcoin. I want bullets, shelf stable food, and water purification.
It's all about risk adjusted returns and risk tolerance.
Something tells me while you sold your Bitcoin, jack didn't sell his.
Would you be willing to post on nostr nostr:nprofile1qqsvf646uxlreajhhsv9tms9u6w7nuzeedaqty38z69cpwyhv89ufcqpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6ur4vgh8wetvd3hhyer9wghxuet5tm8sjr?
Youtube can suck my balls.
It's always available on Fountain after the fact. Live would be cool on Nostr but that might take some doing. Jack's not a podcaster after all.
They're not spying on you, it's just that when you're doing things, they're watching.
If they're not keeping it a secret that they're watching, it's hardly spying...
Maybe, but I'm right there with you. Easily one of the best comic books ever.
The farmer's an amusing example given how not specialized they get. They're tractor mechanics, experts on meteorology, botanical wizzes, learned on the life cycle of pests from insects to birds, and successful traders on the futures markets.
They're the last people I'd worry about not being up to a little bit of handling their money to regain sovereignty.
And again, I'm not opposed to there being easier methods that cut corners. I'm opposed to them being positioned as not having any compromises in design. Marketing.
As for Orthodoxies...well, they're great, but the human element makes them prone to corruption. There is something to be said for the communion with others on the path though. Not a fan of elevating any human to infallibility though.
Faith, through grace, is that which directs one to carry out good works. Works are not the cause of salvation; they are a symptom of it.
Faith without works is dead.
I think a major issue is the word faith being perceived as synonymous with belief. Faith, IMHO, has far more to do with steadfast and unwavering commitment to carrying out divine will which some are given the grace of knowing. Belief is perhaps a part of it, but it is so much more than belief. The idea that somehow believing in some stories told in our silly human language that are full of parable and metaphor can hold a candle to faithfulness is an odd idea to me. The stories and rituals are there to guide you to God. They're no more the object of devotion than a map of the Grand Canyon is the Grand Canyon.
There's also non-BIP39 phrases, such as Electrum.
I am. Planning to buy some cheap sats when some treasure hunters show up. And then planning to be sad when it ends faster than anyone expected because they can only be compromised once.
Maybe we should freeze Coinbase's coins too as it's only a matter of time before they end up with governance that causes them to blow up, and they hold keys to a huge chunk of the network.
