Not sure what that means exactly…
Can someone explain to me how identity verification using BTC is going to work?
I keep hearing people (#[0] or TBD) talk about it, but it seems no one ever explains how it will work in detail.
Can you elaborate? Are you referring to ads?
What takeaway from #Bitcoin2023 are you most excited about? What were you most disappointed with?
Excited: For me, this is #Lightspark and #[2] entering the space. I think that they will bring a critical component of building an enterprise grade product to Lightning.
Disappointed: The corrosiveness of some of the discourse is disappointing to me. In order to build a truely new form of money, I think its participants have to step up to a less divisive form of communication and I see a lot of room for improvement.
I know the conference was so multifaceted so I look forward to reading other reviews!
Extremely energized by #Bitcoin2023.
I cannot help but still be a little skeptical of #[0] but here are three things I find pretty extraordinary about him:
1) I’ve never in my life seen a politician just honestly admit in a conversation that he doesn’t know the answer and needs to do more research like he did in the All In Podcast a couple of weeks ago.
2) I also think it’s quite extraordinary that he comes from the quintessential US political establishment family and yet is very much in favor of the dismantlement of regulatory capture of the CDC or the SEC as well as the military industrial complex.
3) I don’t remember hearing a politician who is so well read in history and frequently quotes historical parralels or anecdotes to illustrate solutions or dangers.
Taking off to Miami tomorrow.
See you all there!

Just saw your tweet about withdrawing your entire
Roth IRA despite the penalty. I’ve been thinking about this a lot, too!
I feel like this deserves a post for a broader audience.
First time spending more time on nostr in a while. Some strong posts from #[0] recently!

If a product is bundled with too many other products to convince you to buy/subscribe (c.f. Amazon Prime), you’re probably overpaying for it!
Airplane miles are similar. They are there to convince you to not take the best deal, but to hope that your loyalty will have some obscure benefit further down the line. The problem is that that benefit forces you to make other compromises on your time, attention, priorities when you try to redeem the miles later on (of course there are edge cases where it actually makes sense to focus on miles, but I think they are limited to edge cases).
I have made the same experience.
Generally, whenever a product is bundled with too many other products, I just assume that this does not serve me, the consumer but only the bundler. It just doesn’t make sense.
Unlike some others here I’m torn on the Starship launch. I know that to some people like #[0] this is no more than a useless product of the Fiat clown world, but speaking very objectively it is also an incredible scientific achievement and feat of engineering.
I think where the rubber hits the road is that a company like SpaceX probably wouldn’t have been possible without Fiat money and therefore is probably not what humanity actually needs right now.
Having said, it is ok to be in awe about something that is as much a product of an honest interaction with truth as #Bitcoin is
