Also shits on Bitcoin for privacy while using a platform that has less privacy than Nostr. A lot less. I can create a Nostr key with no other information. X collects all kinds of shit when signing up on their centralized servers.
I don't think the "then they fight you" stage has started for #Bitcoin. I expect Bitcoin to be historically compared to the American Revolution applied globally. I think the worst is still to come. Prepare accordingly and draw lines now.
And there are times when you have to actually try an idea to figure out that it was a bad idea.
The biggest benefit of nostr - that you can bring your follower graph to a new app - is massively constrained because people are hesitant to put in their nsec.
On web the browser extensions like Alby help with this but it still adds so much friction to onboarding when you’re essentially asking people to signup to 2 separate services, and on mobile these extensions don’t work.
The oauth like nsecbunker signup / login flow that nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft has been working on seems like it can solve this problem - but we need more examples that work seamlessly with good ux.
“Login with Nostr” needs to be as seamless as “Login with Apple / Google” on both web and mobile.
They should be hesitant. I'm not a fan, but I'm not sure how to fix it without needing a hardware device to sign everything I do.
STACK BOIS OUT IN FULL FORCE 🫡
I'm likely going to be moving to within an hour or so of Nashville this decade. Can't wait to meet you and other Bitcoiners.
STAY SATS AND STACK HUMBLE
Which of these has been your favorite to use?
My cat is a SeedSigner maxi now. She always listens to my rants like a champ.

It's incredible how many self-proclaimed #Bitcoin maxis don't use Nostr. Bro, do you even freedom tech? lol
Noncustodial Lightning is... a pain. It took me way too long to onboard a noob (Phoenix), and most people simply wouldn't have figured it out. He was shocked that he didn't need to provide any info after installing. I quite enjoyed that too.
I think a tutorial would go a long way in solving some problems with onboarding (explain liquidity, etc). Lightning is pretty complicated when using it in a sovereign way. And annoying at times, to say put it politely.
Frankly, I may not introduce someone using noncustodial again, and that saddens me.
But he has some sats now and is asking questions, so I'd say the experience was a net positive.
He uses fiat credit cards. I assume he then converts Bitcoin to USD every month to pay the balance. I currently keep a couple months of fiat for fiat bills around, but he is skipping that step by just using their dollars instead. I also assume he earns in Bitcoin given his company. That's a lot simpler than getting paid in fiat, converting to Bitcoin, and converting back to fiat to pay a credit card.
Frankly, if you plan to pay taxes, using his method is a lot simpler. You have one taxable event instead of many like with the cards that convert to USD every time you get a charge.
Central banking is a tool of control. We don't need them. Their existence is built on a foundation of lies and slithering in secret. Ayn Rand was right, central planning is evil and leads only to destruction and suffering. Fight back with #Bitcoin
That has nothing to do with shitcoin trading, which is the topic of discussion. And there are Bitcoin privacy tools. I was referring to producing value anyway. I wasn't talking about literally being paid in Bitcoin. Read post...
Fuck 'em. There is plenty of room for everyone in the lifeboats, but we have to accept the fact that most people won't hop in. Teach, stack, and chill.
Seems like actually earning Bitcoin would be more fulfilling that degen shitcoining. At least that was the case for me once I figured out Bitcoin. Stack and chill is so much better.
GOOD MORNING, CAP'N.
Nostr changes everything, in my opinion. It's weird to me that so few see that. You'd think they'd get it given Bitcoin's history.
The benefits of credit cards for most people are perceived benefits, which is exactly what the industry spends so much money ensuring; perception of benefit.
